CCM U+ skates
I am thinking about getting these skates but have heard they fall apart very quickly, and another source told me that the break in period is a bitch. What can anyone tell me about these skates besides they are the lightest skates i have ever worn. Are they worth getting??
My son has been asking for a pr of u+ as well. i have been asking all the players i see at the rink that have a pr if they like them. so far the reaction has been very positive. lightest skate ever and they feel great on the ice. one player told me to make sure you get the right size, he bought them too big and was getting blisters, brought them back and got the right size, now he loves them.
Never buy skates too big, it ain't worth it.moose 66 wrote:My son has been asking for a pr of u+ as well. i have been asking all the players i see at the rink that have a pr if they like them. so far the reaction has been very positive. lightest skate ever and they feel great on the ice. one player told me to make sure you get the right size, he bought them too big and was getting blisters, brought them back and got the right size, now he loves them.
I have heard positive things about those skates. I do know someone who had a problem with two of his eyelits.
ya i have heard that about the eyelits too, I dont want to buy these new skates and have them fall apart on me. And for the too big, I dont think that will be a problem. I wear size 11 shoes but squeeze into 8 1/2 skates. that probably has something to do with how messed up my feet are and the numberous surguries i have had to have. thanks for the input though
My son just got them and is wearing them as we speak at a camp. He also tried on a pair that was a little to big at first and did'nt like the feel.
Know that he has the Correct size and broke them in he seems to love them. He has notice how lite ther are. Last season he had RBK's and they are a heavier skate.
To break in his CCM U + He would put his socks on and then put them in hot water and then put his skates on for about 45minutes. that seemed to break them in good.
