I'm taking Northern Illinois by 3 only because the Gophers are improved and at home. Ski-U-Muck

What would the poll question on this one look like?
1-win
2-wins
3-wins
4-wins
5-wins
Coach fired?

At first there would be a lot of votes but then for no real reason people would probably just QUIT voting! :lol: :P

What about the MN football commercials on the football program? Look’s like we are going to kick some butt!

Also, I think yesterday the top ranked quarterback recruit has entry exams problems? Sent home to his mom. Heck, I thought the lady died that did Archibald (sp) test for him?

I hope for the Gopher's sake he can get his BAN ME together. That's the future of the program.

Brewster can recruit all the good players he wants, it doesn't matter if they're never going to see the field.

Does it really matter? Really? Remember, this is the Gopher team that got beat by NDSU last year :oops:

I'm just hoping they can get themselves up into the 5 win range so there will be a reason for optimism going into the new stadium in '09. It would be nice to be able to have a competitive squad in there to add a little more excitement.

Unfortunately, Comcast now has the Big 10 channel and now I'll get sucked in to watching them.

Northern Illinois (loss)
@Bowling Green (loss)
Montana State (win)
Florida Atlantic (win)
@Ohio State (loss)
Indiana (win)
@Illinois (loss)
@Purdue (loss)
Northwestern (loss)
Michigan (loss)
@Wisconsin (loss)
Iowa (loss)

Record: 3-9 (1-7 Big Ten)

Mason left this program in a lot better shape than Wacker did. Come on Brewster, you can't afford to have my predictions come true.

Go Gophers, long live the BTN and their coverage!

Good start. If they can consistently pull off 14 play, 9 minute drives, they may really curtail the 600 yard games the defense allows this season.

First half highlights:

1) Like the darker maroon color
2) Like the trim package on the uniform
3) The cheerleaders they have all are very cute and could also work at Hooters
4) Like Decker but he can't carry the team in the Big 10 season.

low lights
1) get rid of the metallic flecks in the helmet paint
2) one drive and done? What is their refractory period?
3) This is what we Comcast viewers missed last year? This is a rookie announcing team right?
4) so tackling in space is the new buzz phrase instead of open field tackling which is a better descriptor to begin with.
5) Come- on that was a touchdown- BOOOOOO
6) do we have a running game besides the QB?

Neut, I too was sucked into watching Gopher football for the first time in 5-10 years, darn BTN on Charter... More Big Ten Hockey this winter though! :D

I also like the dark maroon! I like the metallic flecks in the helmet paint... Weber threw a couple "Punto one hops to 1st" last night when WR were open... Defense looked like the same old Gophers; How about covering that WR after the first burn?; tackling...

Question of the night from Dman:
When did Duane pronounced in my old days as "Doo-wayne", become "Doo-wann"... :lol:

I was asking myself the same question. How do you get Wann out of Duane -

my easily confused state came from the fact that he used a quote from me and then identified you.

I don't re-read day old stuff. If anything it's my memory

At Bowling Green Saturday. Bowling Green just beat Pittsburgh who was ranked last week so I'm predicting a loss for the gophers
