Thankyou for the question SkillFest is in its 2nd year of running right now. It is run out of Grand Rapids Minnesota and is a product of QuickSkills Inc. The Girls will come in on Monday August 4th at 9:00am and be at the rink until August 7th at 12:15. During thier stay they stay in the upstairs lobby of the Civic Center on cots provided. Its like a great big slumber party . All of their meals are catered into the arena as well.
The group is broken doiwn into 4 teams, Each team has a practiuce in the morning, and game at night all games and practices are run by current D-1 coaches . Special off ice activities such as KIck Boxing are also undertaken. College preparation lectures are provided . Teams get to sit down with thier perspective coach and ask any questions they may have in an informal setting. THere is also a special goaltending session exclusivly for goaltenders as well. Current Division 1 and 3 players serve as counselors. Each girl receives a Jersey and camp gift. SkillFest is open to player in 9th Grade with Varsity experience and up. The camp is maintained at 68 players. Cost of the camp is $395.00 Applications can be obtained by contacting Dan Clafton @218 -259-2503

Here is their website: http://www.greenway.k12.mn.us/ghs/Quick ... opment.htm

Daughter attended last year, enjoyed it and looking forward to attending this year. Last year was the first year it was held. Gals sleep at the arena. Food was catered and plentiful. They have practices and dryland activities during the day plus presentations and other activities and then scrimmages at night.

If you have questions, call Mr. Clafton at the number he provided he will fill you in on the details.

I helped out a little bit last year and I was around at the arena off and on throughout the event. The girls loved it and it was very well run. It will be great again this year, no doubt.

Any one at this camp have a perspective on how well it is run? Also,
what is the talent level young and old? Any kids making some noise younger and older?

do they have any rosters online of who's attending? It'll be interesting to see because all the same names seem to turn up at the elite camps, clinics, and leagues in the cities and I'd like to see who shows up at the out state events
