They had to give it to Ed as he’s been coaching for over 20 years, with the Saints the last 3-4 years and was selected assistant coach of the year for that section. This is great for him and the program. Let me know if anyone has heard for sure.

Don't let him fool you Indian... CNT saw the other thread about the former coach of the St. Paul Saints, who happens to be a GOVERNOR, that took the coaching job at Coon Rapids.

He's needling me pretending that he's nott paying attention to the movements of another GOVERNOR. It's CNT's clever ploy to get under my skin... I know it.

I really think the new coach will get the kids on track right away with a new kind of competitive atmosphere.... I'm curious to see who will be selected for the assistant jobs

Lwinger3 - I tink Ed will get them fired up right away and I know he will have them working hard off ice also. Best of luck to Ed and the players.

Does that mean that Ed got the job?

Can anyone confirm that this job has been filled? I know its not big in numbers but what should the team look like this up coming season? Also have they made the jump to 4AA, I heard that was possible.

shmaz, yes the job has been filled. You are correct in saying the program is light in numbers, just enough to fill a varsity and jv squad. The Saints will be very experienced at the varsity level with several players in their 3rd and 4th year of playing varsity hockey. The big challenge in the Tri-Metro will be Breck and Blake, with Breck positioned to be a very good team as they were loaded with young talent last year that gained experience.

A move to 4AA is not 100% as of today.
