Not to sure but I believe it is time for both for this team. I think if I am not mistaken the Indians lost alot of players last year. Only time will tell.

rapidsrapids, I think it may be time to change your tagline...I'm afraid David Brown has eclipsed Patrick White in his popularity among East fans. :?

And as for the actual thread topic, I think it will be a bit of both for Rapids. It'll take a little while for them to regroup and find some people to provide the scoring, but I wouldn't be shocked at all to see them in the 7AA final. They're not at a level where we can consider them a contender at the state level yet, though. It'll be an interesting season to watch, and the annual East game should be an excellent gauge of where they are.

I have the youtube highlights of that game on my ipod touch. That was one of the best HS games I've ever attended.

Would have to guess either Nov 22 or 29. Seems like a very late start this year. Practice starting on Nov 17, IRC Jamboree is Nov 25. Hope the boys are ready to roll right away.

Rebuild

Post by northwoods oldtimer »

Just based on what East has returning one would have to say they are cream of the crop in 7AA. Leaning towards a rebuilding season for Grand Rapids. Too hard to speculate what can come out of the season with a small pool of seniors and juniors. Bright spots should come from a couple junior defensemen stepping in on the blueline and maybe some surprise role players out of the sophomore group. If that occurs it could very well be an interesting season. What is most enjoyable about this time of year is all teams get to start a clean slate should be a fun season to take in once again.

I would say the other way around. Rapids will be a bigger threat to East, since East is the favorites.

You know what I mean. I like what i'm hearing about the rapids goalie. Any good frontline players to watch?

From the way it sounded last year the biggest threat to East is the referees from the section semifinal against Cloquet. I never knew Greyhounds could cry before I heard all of that whining. :D
