Elk River, Andover, and Anoka thread
What's the pre-season analysis from the 7AA fans in the south?

Each team did have atleast someone represent their school in the Upper Midwest Elite League.
Andover - Matt Ray
Andover - Cal Decowski
Anoka - Berkley Scott
Elk River - Chad Hennum
I would have to say as of right now, Anoka is still the top team between those 3 but the seasons a month away and anything can happen.

They may not be the most exciting-looking teams, but the powers in this section (the north...East, Cloquet, GR) know that they may play roles in 7AA before all is said and done. Anoka was very good last year and looks to drop off...but how much? I'm sure GR would like another shot at them after last year's semifinal debacle. It wasn't that long ago that Elk River was a serious power at the state level, so we're still a bit wary of them. And though people are probably hyping them up a bit too much, too soon, Andover is on the rise.
Ultimately, I think those of us following the northern teams realize we can't be complacent and let these teams sneak up on us. We need to be aware of what's going on down south, because some day, one of them will probably break through.
