I have to agree with komada77 that Wes Bolin is one of the top high school coaches in Minnesota.komada77 wrote:The community and hockey association were growing by leaps and bounds before Bolin was there too. I will concede that calling him the best coach in the state is a little too bold considering he has never won a MN state championship (even though he's only had 4 tries), but I think you would be hard pressed to name a coach who is better than Wes.
Also, in his first 4 years at Woodbury, his teams have reached the section finals 3 times while advancing to the State Tournament twice.
Some may think that it was just David Eddy the last two seasons. However, it takes a team effort to win conference and section titles and that was the case with Woodbury.
Despite losing a lot of scoring from last years team, Bolin will again have a competitive team. After all, their junior varsity was 18-4-3 last year.
