Beside Senior Captains Rehkamp and Herd, they have 12 Juniors-10 of which lettered as Freshmen, very solid defense and a great goalie.
We'll know soon enough as they open with Marshall, Mahtemedi, Red Wing and St. Thomas Academy.
I wish I knew you. I would love a small wager on 20 wins being the over under for Breck this year. I'll take the under.
Flat,
No doubt 20 wins is a stretch for any team, but last year they won 16 games with some quality wins over Wayzata, Blake, CDH, Totino, Orono, Mound and State Champion STA. They were one flukey loss to Blake away from going to the X and they did it with just one senior and two juniors on the squad. No question they need to take it to the next level but with as much talent as they have it will be tough for most teams to keep up with them, especially within this years weak conference.
If they can get by Orono and Mound, they should be playing in St. Paul.
In one sentence its a quality win over Blake, in the next its a flukey loss.
Make up your mind. 5-2 at sections was no fluke.
Blake dominated in their 2 flukey wins over the Stangs.
Breck SHOULD be very good this year, we will just have to see.
Good Luck Goldy.

Thanks for the update. I look forward to seeing them play.

I wouldn't call a win over Wayzata a quality win, since Wayzata only won 9 or 10 games last year. Having said that I do think Breck will have a very good season.

It WAS a quality win for BRECK!!
And actually, they should not have won that game.
The juniors are Wally's last recruiting class, aren't they? They will have to get over their own egos or start playing the game with 5 pucks at a time. I don't think the change in coaches will help them anymore than the last one. I heard the new guy has shown them some Hobey Baker film repeatedly--with this group it might be better to show them Miracle on Ice every day and night.
Did the Saints really beat them last year?!? Even playing selfish hockey they shouldn't have lost to them. Maybe Breck is overblown. Certainly playing in one of the weakest conferences for the last two months of the season doesn't help them get ready for tournament time.
Is Rogers a new addition to this section? Is this the first year in it?

Saw tonight that Andrle and Iverson were still playing with their bantam team was this roster just a first cut roster and more have got cut since or did they make Varsity and opt down to Bantams

yes he did play last year, don't know what happened
He decided to quit. To bad as he is a very talented player and a good kid from what I've heard. Struggled a bit with being on the small side and having so many upperclassmen.
As for the above mentioned list, the first 4 are either playing bantams or JV. If you count them there are 23 listed.

Sorry to hear Antonio quit. Despite always being small in stature he was a very talented youth player, and you're right he's a real good kid. Best of luck to him.
Breck scrimmaged Hill Murray yesterday and was on the short side of a 3-0 score that could have been worse had it not been for some big saves from Russell. Boy those HM boys can skate. They have to be one of the quickest teams in the state.
Breck should have a very great year this year. The section has three very talented teams: Breck, Blake, and Orono. The championship should be a good game with a high chance that two of those three teams will be in it.
From watching them last year they were not a team at all. With the talent they have, they need to play together if they are gonna go any where. They have a tough road, but they can do it.....
