EWE GOT TO LOVE BEMIDJI AND TRF, BRAGGING YOU COULD WIN AA, BUT NOT PLAYING AA. AND ARE 3-10 TIMES larger THAN ROSEAU. GET SOME SPINES
IF BOTH OPTED UP COULD HAVE BEEN A GREAT 8AA TOURNEY.
I SAY MOORHEAD WINS.

buffalo is gonna have a terrible record look at their schedule...
EDINA twice, Roseau, Moorehead (guarentee they wont beat them), Cloquet, Wayzata twice, Minnetonka (are they even good without gardiner), and Rosemount...than the rest of their games are played against terrible teams rogers, St. micheal albertville, monticello, cambridge, and princeton, they arent that good if they beat some of those teams than ill change my mind.
It's gonna go
1. Roseau
2. Moorehead
3. Brainerd
4. Buffalo
5. Tech
6. doesnt matter after 5

First Off whats with ppl saying MONDA??? he had like 7 goals tops... Second they'll be better off this year because they won't be a one line team like last year others will actually be forced to get involved and do there job to win.. Look for players like Mike Rinio (JR.), Brett Jenkins (JR.), Derek Wessman (SR.), Tate Rusk (JR.), and others to produce...
AND TECH BLOWS!!!!!!
GO BLUE!

I agree. With losing the best player and goalie in the state last year, I just don't see roseau in the X during March this year.dioXen wrote:I dont see roseau geting out of the section. It is to hard to win without a goalie. What they have a few JV goalies who are less than average? Good Luck with that Roseau.

Well I do not think these two kids who are the "upcoming" goalies are going to step up. They have always been less than average from what I have saw. Elite 2's I was not impressed with the roseau kid. Let in a lot of goals. And stupid ones at that. Yes I am a doubter and this roseau team needs alot of work if they want to make it anywhere. I dont think they will make it out of the section. The worst part of all of this, I think it is so stupid for players to commit to a junior team or college and leave their their team stranded! Roseau would have been looking good this year with ness and lee still. But they got the rug yanked out from below them and are going to fall flat on their faces!myhockey wrote:well the way I see it is that Lee is gone....that is his choice. Roseau has at least two goalies that I know will step up and fill the position very well. Those two have always been the backups for Lee and really have never gotten the chance to be the "MAN". With that said Every kid that plays hockey in roseau dreams of being varsity for the RAMS and when given the chance they will step up to the plate and the RAMS will be fine. What is funny is how everybody says Roseau is going to be down this year with the loss of Lee it takes a team to win and that is what will happen this year they will play and win as a team. GO RAMS!!!!!! See all you doubters in the cities come March!!!!!

I agree with goalie statement, but I have to say that anyone in their right mind would do the same thing that Ness and Lee did. Neither one of them had anything left to prove in the high school game, and they have obviously moved on to bigger and better things, and I applaud them for that.Well I do not think these two kids who are the "upcoming" goalies are going to step up. It doesnt matter what the did as juniors...ness is one thing for sure ready for the next level, but lee? I think he was just afraid that he would look bad without the best defense around.218-to-State wrote:I agree with goalie statement, but I have to say that anyone in their right mind would do the same thing that Ness and Lee did. I posted the following in another thread but it fits good here. Sorry to those who may have already read this one.
I hear what dioXen and some others are saying concerning Roseau. The boys up north will have to prove they can do it without Ness and Lee. There will most likely be a few bumps in the road early in the season and the team will need to work hard to win the battles leading to a chance to play for the big prize during the ultimate hockey tourny weekend in March. There is still a lot of talent in Roseau this year. The team may just make a few people out there surprised as the year goes on. I guess eveyone's about to find out.
Hockey is an amazing sport and fills what can be a long cold winter with a ton excitement. You never know for sure who will get the bounces, what teams will gel with the right chemistry, and who will ultimately rise to the top. Good luck to each and every team! I Can't wait for the high school hockey season to get going!

How don't the stats that Ness put up mean anything? Does Mr. Hockey mean anything? Does a state championship Sophomore year mean anything? Apparently not to you. I also strongly disagree with the Lee statement. If Lee wasn't ready for the next level why would he be starting for the Fargo Force. That's the next level isn't it? And Lee had to play with other defensemen besides Ness at some point, so don't go and say he was scared to play without him.

I hear Wessman is toast! Only one senior on the team, it could be a long seasonLook for players like Mike Rinio (JR.), Brett Jenkins (JR.), Derek Wessman (SR.), Tate Rusk (JR.), and others to produce...

The only chance they have of finishing in the top 4 is if the new coach can get them to play unselfish disciplined defense

Could be a long season for the Warriors, I will agree with that statement. I look for this season to be the opposite of a typical Brainerd season(start strong, then go in the tank) I see them struggling early on, and by the end of the season playing some very competitive hockey. All they need is one or two of the juniors, or coach Archibalds son(soph), to step up and start leading the team. If they get some momentum watch out. There is still some talent left on this team.Syd Barrett wrote:Barnyard Hockey, you better flip flop Tech & BrainerdBrainerdHockey wrote: It's gonna go

Well I have saw the Force play too undersized and they are not doing to well. From what I saw still was not impressed with the play! Just because you are on a juniors team doesnt mean you deserve to be there! And I will say that he is scarred, And 2 I think the next level is college juniors is for the people who cant handle it and have no other options but to go there because they dont know what to do.218-to-State wrote:dioXent wrote: It doesnt matter what the did as juniors...ness is one thing for sure ready for the next level, but lee? Spell MOORHEAD right next time, I would appreciate it.puckluck19 wrote:I would agree brainerd will have it tough this year. If thier less experinced kids can step it up they should start rolling near the end but will it be in time? I would say
1. Moorehead (more or less to see Roseau fail)
2. Roseau
3-4. Tech and Buffalo fight for these
5. Brainerd

What are you talking about??? Plenty of kids are told to go to Juniors to improve their skill, or wait another year to get bigger. Ex: Jordy Christian, played for Moorhead for 3 years, signed with SCSU. He then went on to the BCHL and Sioux Falls of the USHL. Now playing for the Huskies. Same thing with Mike Lee. Playing Juniors to build up for SCSU.
