"roseau was hammerd the last two games but its not the team your gona see in a month down the road. roseau played two games coming into this tourney and they ran out of gas after three games. theirs other things to be ironed out but i know they wont lose that bad again after their in game shape to go the distance. As far as the refs go it was a complete joke. the edina roseau game was a good tight game that could have gone either way and the guy that said they were lagit penalties is for sure without question a cidiot. i was standing right their along the boards on the first call a kid spraled out to get the puck and the edina kid took a dive (never was touched) and got the call. he should of got one on the dive. the second one was a four player pile up all converging in one location and someone happend to fall in the maylay so their must be a penalty right? the simple fact is this you have a great game going dont call stupid penalties to decide the out come let the players do that. i see no other reason to make them calls other than to favor an outcome. the other thing i noticed this weekend is people love to beat roseau and the worse the better. elk river would have ran that score up to 20 if they could have with the parents cheering it on. i am personaly gona try to line that team up to play us here in roseau and mark my words fresh legs on roseau and the ellks go down."

Lost to Wazata and Elk River by good margins. Take the road back up to the north, and time to re-hash where the team is, and where is will go.
You have to expect back lash here when you state how good ur team is and to "look out" for them when Elks rip them 10-1 and Wayzata 6-1. You don't need to talk about refs, tired legs..ect. You called out these posts when you told us how good you are.
Roseau is a good town with good people. Don't come off as a someone who needs excuses to losses. Get back to the drawing board... Im sure you guys have enough Ice up there to figure it out.

Grand Rapids, Hibbing, Eveleth, International Falls, Warroad, Roseau, Thief River Falls, East Grand Forks and Bemidji (even Hallock) have rinks that are not so modern but where great players were made.
Just make a trip along Hwy 11 from I Falls to Roseau where the kids can see 8 out of 10 state championship trophies in a ten year span (and a couple of runner-up trophies to boot).
Maybe a long time ago to some, but still remarkable. And they still put quality teams on the ice. Maybe not every town, maybe not every year, but up here, there is a whole different sense of hockey/community/pride in most of these communities.
No matter how you spell, they welcome you at the rink, and most places buy you a cup of coffee.
I can see a lot of reasons why Elk River would want to make a trip up north for a hockey game or two (and several non-hockey reasons, also.).

you guys are right i shouldn't make any excuses. roseau sucks and elk river could beat them 10-1 on any given day. o town your the biggest cidiot on this board your knowledge of hockey is limited to florida and you should stay there. my spelling and grammer have been brought up so many times im thinking of takeing a couple courses in english. so here it is i was wrong roseau is not very good and all teams can rest easy when they have to play roseau its an easy W. i think we should opt down to a "B" program so we can compete. i cant believe i was so wrong i thought i knew the game but i'm just one step above o town so from here on out i wont be sooooo cocky. superstar your legit penalties i guess must be right but if come up north this year you wont see any BS like that.

Watchdog - Matter of fact - I will be up north for your PWA tourney. I actually won a game of bingo at the legion last year at your pwa tourney..I love the refs up there much better than in the cities.

to all refs- if your doing a game dont call a pointless penalty at the end of a good game. now if you have already done that unless some one removes their skate a cuts someones head off dont call two pointless penalties at the end of the game unless you really just want to determine the outcome yourself.

Dog, for what it's worth, I was at Roseau/Wayzata game. 0-0 tie after one. even game. Wayzata was the better team the rest of the way for reasons we all know (Roseau just starting up/ took a week off for hunting season). Hat's off to Wayzata, they played well. These teams are one goal apart and should be good hockey up north in January.
I saw Edina Roseau game. I agree last penalty call shouldn't be called. That was a joke call. Game decided by refs, let them play.

thanks bear for some good old fashion judgement its refreshing. hey wayzata is really good! best team i saw. i think their better than roseau right now in paticular defensively. i know this team wasnt ready to play five games in three days yet but on the other hand who wants to hear excuses. if elk river thinks their 10-1 better thats great keep thinking that for the next time we meet. im not saying their not a good team but the cake walk they enjoyed on sunday is a far cry from reality.
