How about against South on Friday first.... if they split on this trip I think it would be a good weekend. My guess is they beat South, and Lose to the spuds!

Spuds hafta play better than they did @ Fargo South if they wanna get by the Bears. Don't think FS can beat WBL.

I'll predict a weekend sweep for the Bears with a 5-2 win over South and a 4-3 win over the Spuds.

The Bears will be able to relax on the way home knowing they left with two Ws. Fargo South won't be able to keep up with the fellas from the state of hockey and will fall 4-1. The Spuds might have a better shot at getting a few on a somewhat tired Bears squad, but still fall 4-2.

Perhaps, but the Bears obliterated FS last year at Aldrich, 6-1. Don't try and tell me that home ice will account for 5 goals. In a much closer contest, the Bears took down the Spuds last year in OT, 6-5.

Moorhead by 2. Simply for the fact that I'm sure Morinvillle will get'em very ready and even hungrier for their first win coming off that tie @ South. Which the 1st goal for South should not have been allowed anyway, but anyway, Spuds by 2 over WBL.

i think the bears will take FS fairly easily and then by one against the spuds.. WB looked a little rusty against century but i think theyll be ready for this weekend.

im not trying to rip on anyone here at all so dont take this the wrong way. i will admit my ignorance about the moorhead hockey program but why do you think they will beat WB? just out of curiosity? i dont know much about them except what i saw last year so...just wondering(not being sarcastic or mean or anything honestly asking)

Fargo South beat WBL the first time they played them in Fargo. Last year South lost to WBL 6-1 and Moorhead 7 to zip. This year South tied Moorhead, and Moorhead didn't even have to make the 4 hour trip.

South has a chance because of their defense and their goaltender. South's goalie alone won't let in more than 3 goals on 40 shots. Spuds on the other hand seem too offensively minded, and their goalie seemed relatively weak. The South game will be very low score because of this, whereas the WBL/Moorhead game will end up in an offensive battle of who scores the most.

I don't know how that's ignorant in any way? Don't teams usually win by getting the most goals? I do also believe that White Bear will beat Moorhead because they lack defensive power, so go figure.

Don't need to factor in the 4-5 hour bus ride, or the fact that they play Fargo South the night before they play Moorhead.

In order for Moorhead to "score the most", they'll have to score on Collette. He was great last year, really tearing it up in the section tournament, and has picked up right where he left off. The only reason this game will be any sort of "battle", or be close at all, is due to a tired Bears offense not tallying as many as they could on fresh legs. Should be a great weekend for the Bears.

I think the game will ride on who scores first and gets momentum early.. White Bear will be tired after a long trip and a game the night before, so if they have to play catch up it'll be a tough game for them to win.
Still, I have to go with

Bears 4
Spuds 3
OT
