'Bout time Sandelin starts bringing in top tier hockey players. Is this because of the new rink UMD is getting, or did Sandelin get some recruiting tips from Lucia down at the U?? :P

He's a junior this year. Heisenberg has him going to UMD in the fall of '10... so no juniors (unless he forgoes his senior year).

He's always been good, but he's really progressed over the last year.

There is no way that herbert should be even getting looked at at this point he hasnt proven himself what so ever. The only year hes played at a highschool level he was man handled and taken out for most of the season...not to mention got worked by Zach May in the Semi-final game at breamar. UMD is crazy if they are putting their faith in a bender like that.

Q and A with Herbert

Post by dueling21 »

Did a Q and A with Herbert before the season. It's in the "encyclopedia" but I also posted it here:

He seemed to be a pretty good kid. Good to see him heading up to UMD...

I don't know to much of the May kid but he must be injuried or something because for curiosity I checked the Burnsville box scores so far and the 2 games I found they were out scored 16-1. If they have a player with this kind of potential that is being talked about here I am sure if he was playing these scores would be much closer.

Caleb Cograts and you looked outstanding in Europe this summer.

Yeah I'm pretty sure May wasn't playing but don't quote me.

As for the other guy, please shutup. You look like a bitter idiot ranting about Zach May. You want to talk unproven, look no further than May.

If you can't just say congratulations to a kid who just signed D-1 don't say anything, cause no one wants to hear it.
Stay Classy, Minnesota.

May has played every game this season...King is the one who could not play. Both are named Zach.

Herbert, Congrats!! No one deserves it more. Your hard work after your broken leg last year paid off and you have proven that you are ready to play at another level. Good luck!!

How would you classify the goal lucky? One timer upper shelf, nothing lucky about that. Yeah he is having a slow start but he still has 5 points in 4 games. Also maybe the reason Faust is killing him in points is because Faust will also most likely be going D-1. Oh yeah and your right being named one of the top 20 players in the country at your age level isn't that hard. Maybe he stole your spot?

no I dont think he was the water boy.

And last time i checked schools look at more than his stats in the first few games, after all isnt it more important to finish the season strong, rather than come out strong?

and what are you on if you think making team USA aint that great?

Don't know much about him but congrats anyways. I've been told by some kids who played Elite with Caleb that he has some of thebest hands they have ever seen, but beyond that I know nothing. Is he big, fast, strong, all of the above, etc? And the kid who is saying Zach May is better don't answer this question no one cares about your opinion.
