Bensomum, I agree with your general assessment regarding penalties, don’t know if you were at the game, but IMO White bear was equal (at the very least) to the play. Thought they controlled the flow more and had the greater scoring chances. I only referenced the penalties because WBL has had way too many preventable penalties this year (retaliatory and being undisciplined, type). More specifically with the one that preceded the game winning power play goal last night.Bensonmum wrote:1) Agreed that Joe is a rube;hockeyheaven wrote:

2) Agreed WBL could be ranked higher;
3) Disagree with the 'if we could stay out of the box we'd win' premise. There are reasons teams take too many penalties--always getting beat to the puck or to the net, etc., is a leading factor. (Saw that in the Roseville-Hopkins game, Hopkins fans understood because it was obvious how much quicker Roseville was). Anyway, whether it's lack of quickness or lack of restraint or lack of coaching/smarts/whatever that causes high numbers of penalties, it's not that easy to turn it off and on. How many times do you see a team just all of sudden greatly reduce their penalty minutes and turn their season around? There's usually an underlying reason for lots of time in the box that isn't easily cured and that reveals a bigger problem.

[quote="SuperStar"]Man you guys love seeing us getting the SMACKdown...I can't wait for some revenge. It might not happen this year, but I will be waiting in the shadows!

A SuperStar in the shadows. Isn't that some kind of oxymoron? Don't worry in time EP will be a top team again. Don't they have the biggest school (in terms of population) in the State of Minnesota? Amongst all those bodies there's got to be some talent coming along. Hopefully you can stop losing the good ones to the privates.

Wow, now add name calling to the mix. Hopkins must be doing something right to wear this big of a target. The WBL team surprised me that they could stay with Roseville (WBL swaps places with Edina in my rankings, if they can consistently play this way). I'll put my predictions against Benson and Heaven all day long and we'll see who is the "rube" (of course, I wouldn't call you that since this is supposed to be an informational and fun forum).

Dultuh Northern stars looked dominant
Saw Duluth play CEC last night. Duluth won 3-2 What a team.
They dominated play in all 3 zones. Duluth Outshot CEC 42-11. They are a well coached, deep, solid team.
Harvard-bound goalie Laura Bellamy looked a bit off but played well enough to win.
They will be a team to watch come Feb.

Superstar, maybe the "mighty" have not fallen as far as some haters had hoped.... How did your team stay with the "Powerful Skippers"?
Nuetralgroup - Tonka does have a strong team - I think part of the reason was our outstanding goaltending and staying out of the penalty box....I thought we outplayed them in the first period. Our 1st line can play against anyone. YES, I mean ANYONE.
MNHCKlr - It was a great game - But you gave away my secret website!
Ontheedge - After I re-read my post - Your right, it is an oxymoron..It would be nice to stop losing some of our Top players in alot of our sports to private schools - Esp. Boys and Girls Hockey..

Let me just say that I think more than a few of us find your posts arrogant, petty and annoying all at the same time. I suspect that you are not a dad at all. I suspect that you are a teenager. I think if you re-read your blogs you would see why most responders are a little hostile. As for me, this will be the last time I bother taking the time to respond to you. Its not worth my time.Joethehockeydad wrote:Can I rename you guys "Grumpy old men"? LOLhockeyheaven wrote:Thanks Edge, my thought exactly
