North St. Paul

Does anyone have any insight into North? They seem to be playing well from the scores I've seen.

It looks like a brand new team. With Ruebbelke back, he seems to be helping the cause. They also have two kids McCarver and Hinz that made the Select 15's that has also helped. They look to be reallly young, could be better even better next year.

Dont get to excited about the Victory over Simley, they suck this year again! And they are a bunch of hacks!

Responses like the previous member's remind me why I don't post as much as I used to. Instead of creating a string that is informative, too many members resort to trash talking.

Looking at their roster, they are definitely a young team.

So sorry to offend you Greenway, but it's personal for me when it comes to Simley, I have NOTHING positve to say about that program as at one time I was deeply involved with them. I am also a graduate from that school which gives me a right to bash'em. I am typically a very positve person.

Polars have a good team this year and they have a lot of new players - but they are not where the points are. The junior class is great and that's where everyone has seen the talent this year so far with Rubbelke, Chzech are the strongest and others follow close behind.

Looks like they will have a good test tomorrow when they play Mahtomedi.

Chris Czech

Does anyone know if Jr. D on NSP Chris Czech is related to the Steve & Matt that played for HM. Steve, class of 2000 & Matt, class of 2002, were great defensemen for state tournament HM teams. Steve played at UMD & is a minor pro player. They live in the Oakdale part of the NSP High boundaries.

What happened to North? Looking at the boxscores this morning, it looks like they had a 3 to 2 lead going into the 3rd period. How did they give up 3 goals in the last period to lose 5 to 3?

They played great in 2nd period and had some bad penalties in the 3rd and blew it. They need to work on there powerplay. Two even teams.

North is much better than they were last year but they still haven't beaten a quality team. Losses to Hopkins, Mathomedi, and St Thomas. They have beaten Irondale, Simley, and Como who are are really bad.

The game this Saturday at Polar Arena aganist HUGE rival Tartan will be a great game.

Lost to Tartan 7-4. Anyone see that game? Why did they lose to Tartan? To lose at home to a rival by that much?
