I have yet to see EP, BJ, and Eagan play so I just went through looked at games and who was on the ice together correct me if I'm wrong on these lines.

Apple Valley- Fischer, Warner, Berens = 12 g, 6 a
Jefferson- Sirio, Knutson, Gallus = 9 g, 10 a
Eden Prairie- Rath, Hoffman, Gravelle = 7 g, 12 a
Burnsville- May, Pearson, Smyth = 12 g, 11 a
Eagan- Merchant, Markstrom, Thorn = 11 g, 10 a

Herbert, Knight, Dietzlar

This line has my vote for the next "2" years as the top line in the conference seeing that they are all juniors

I don't know for sure but I would guess that he would stick around for next year.

faust and pauluk for jefferson are the best defensive pair and as far as herbert leaving its unlikely but you never know what will happen the outcome of this season will play into his decision i bet.

Lakeville North

Post by str8upballin »

Top line in the state by far is lakeville north's Derek Wypyszynski, Derek Perkins, and Nick Altavilla. This is a fierce line and all have already commited to D-1 colleges.

Neither of those first two have committed and Western Mass State does not exist.

Herbert is expected to be playing for UMD in 2010, so if he stays for his senior year he will have no experience in juniors before college. Not saying he needs juniors, just an observation.
Everyone hates private schools (and Edina)!!

Never heard of any of the 3 mentioned players. And I noticed all of your posts in other topics are just hyping this line.

Understand your point. Hopefully he stays, Bloomington is a talented team this year and next year they should have a good team.

best line of lake

Post by buddish4mrhockey »

After Dec 20th this is my list:

1) Jefferson- Sirio, Knutson, Gallus = 9g 10a

2) Jefferson- Herbert, Knight, Dietzler= 11g 9a

3) Chaska- Blake, Robb, Erickson = 12g 24a

4) E.P- Erickson, McQuillian, McCartan = 10g 15a

5) Burnsville- May, Pearson, Smyth = 14g 12a

6) E.P- Rath, Hoffman, Gravelle = 8g 13a

7) Apple Valley- Fischer, Warner, Berens = 12g 9a

8) Eastview - Schweiger, Friedman, Chacich= 10g 9a

9) Lakeville S- Binder, Simon, ???= 9g 12a

10) TIE

any thoughts?

My thought is the EP line of Rath, Hoffman and Gravelle are third liners and have to get their points on full strenght situations and are not given any power play opportunities. Eliminate power play points to figure out the best five on five lines in the Lake Conference. Scoring goals is all about opportunty and ice time.

any thoughts?

Eliminating PP points is not the way to determine the "best" lines. The EP third line is a good one but they are a third line playing against other team's third lines. Do you think they would fare as well playing against their opponent's top line?
