How are you watching this: FSN? At the arena? Radio?

Reminds me of that famous Rodney Dangerfield quip: "I went to the fights last night, and a hockey game broke out."

East 6
Cloquet 1

Major fight at the end of the game. Possibly injuries. Very ugly ending. East left the arena, then had to come back for the hand-shakes. Hard to describe accurately from only a radio broadcast.

pacman, that's what they were doing the whole game when they played St Thomas. I didn't mention any of it as I would just be called a sore loser, but it's nice to see someone else notice.

There was one time during the 2nd period that a St Thomas player had tripped and was laying on the ice being punched over and over in the face. No whistle. Finally managed to get to his feet. Got punch 2 or 3 more times. No whistle. Then another punch as the Marshall guy started to skate away. St Thomas guy threw a punch back finally and the whistle blew.

There were many like this. Very cheap team in my opinion. They got a lead then simply resorted to throwing cheap shots all the time. Can't blame them though, if the whistles weren't being blown, why stop?

It was getting chippy late in the third period...East put in their backup goalie and it might have irritated the Jacks just a little. :)

Mike pulled his team off the ice while the Cloquet players stood in line. Trachsel went through and shook the Cloquet players' hands and had a little "chat" with Esse. After a few minutes, the East players came back onto the ice to much cheering from the Hounds faithful and much jeering from the Cloquet fans who hadn't yet left.

East put the game away in the first and didn't look particularly enthusiastic after that.

Suprising there wasn't another brawl during the hand shake.

I think, had they gone straight to the handshake after the game, something more would have happened. What he said, if anything, to them off-ice before they came back might have helped cool the tempers.

And I can't wait for the rematch up in Sappi City. Image

A natural hat trick is all 3 goals in one period. I can't believe no one else was able to answer this until now.

Actually, it was answered earlier. Three goals in a row by the same player in the same period is a pure hat truck; a natural hat trick is three goals in a row by the same player spanning more than one period, as was Jamnick's tonight.

Woodbury 4 - Stillwater 0
real good game fast paced. Woodbury gets 4 PP attempts in 1st 2 periods to Stillwaters 1 the the flood gates opened in what was a pretty clean game compared to the ones I have seen so far this year. Refs could have called 1 or 2 on each team and that would have been a stretch.

Woodbury started out slow, Stillwater got worn down fighting off the PP, If I remember Woodbury scored 2 of the goals just as Stillwater came out of the box. Woodbury moves the puck well. Stillwater needs to figure the lines out and stick to em for a bit, not the same team that started the year.
