"Fire and Ice what you say is funny...because i would venture that 7 of the bottom 10 teams will be in their regional tournament. roseville, hermantown, wbl, elk river, grand rapids, roseau and either 'tonka or edina.
your either feigning bitterness, angry that my post reflects yours and you didn't post it first, or bitter because your team isn't in the ranking."
Fire and Ice is a Centennial guy. Ctbrow, you don't have their average team ranked.
Were did I say that those teams wouldn't make the regional? Regionals are on a rotation and clearly this year will have some teams at state that wouldn't make it otherwise. As far as a centennial guy no, north suburban yes. Look at the regional set up and answer your own question Rogers guy.
Back to the original statement make your own top 20 somewhere else based on what you think but this is the CNF ranking page.
Look at the comments I made previously and answer those before you spout off.
Who has Roseville beaten?
Hermantown since you added them?
Elk River, you have to be from that area? They are going to be lucky to make it out there district
I agree with almost all of this list, except i there are some small decent teams who are beating/competing with big teams who are ranked in this.Take Brainerd for example the ties woodbury in the moorhead tournement and beat Grand Rapids last week. But thanks for making this list i think its pretty accurate.
Fire and Ice: I don't think that I have "spouted off" anywhere. I don't do the rankings. I just posted them. I do believe this is a public forum. I just feel this is an interesting and very accurate ranking. It sure doesn't take much for you to get excited! SSM 8 Cent 2

Any surprises here?
Woodbury beat Eagan 6-1. Eagan loses by 5 I didn't see that coming.

You are on through #13 with the exception of White Bear Lake who should either bump Edina or Centennial downward, but then from there your picks are sentimental over talent. Cases in point:
#14 - Roseville - recently lost to Johnson 5-3 (MNHockeyRankings #56). Schedule has been very easy so far this year with the only victory over a top twenty LPH or MN HockeyRankings was Chaska (#17 LPH, #20 MNHockeyRankings). As the chant at the rinks go: O-VER-Rated!
#15 - Roseau - Only win against a top twenty team was against....#14, Roseville. Got destroyed 9-1 by Eden Prairie.
#18 - Elk River - Has not beat a top 20 team. Had a few close games but if you lose....close doesn't count. Lost to several weaker (#25-35 teams).
#19 and #20 - EGF and Grand Rapids - Both of these teams have played light schedules and have not beat a top twenty team. You got to knock the big kid off the hills before you can become a king of the hill.
*****************
Here is who you missed that definitely should be above these teams:
1) Bloomington Jefferson - Up and down team but they have won virtually all of the games they 'should have won', and knocked off a couple of top twentys - Burnsville and Woodbury (20 LPH, 17 MNHockey Rankings). Winning the Burnsville Tgiving Tourney against B-ville on B-Ville's home ice was a big victory for this team.
2) Minneapolis Park - Clearly the Rodney Dangerfield of the rankings world. Victories over Rochester Red (#5 LPH, #4 MNHockey Rankings), Burnsville (#15 LPH and MNHockeyRankings), and Woodbury (#20 LPH, #17 MNHockeyRankings) have put them on the MNHockeyRankings radar at #16, but LPH and CTBrow have not given respect.
3) Eden Prairie - Playing one of the toughest schedules so far in MN hockey this year, EP has victories over Wayzata (#2 LPH, #1 MN Hockey), White Bear (#8 LPH, #12 MNHockey), and Centennial (#13 MNHockey and #10 LPH). To rehash...they obliterated Roseau 9-1.
My final point, sentimentalism is great, but in ranking your 15-20, you have several teams in there that can't or haven't competed well against top 20's, while you have left several deserving teams on the scrapheap.
Having seen Bemidji, EGF and Grand Rapids play, I think Bemidji is deserving of top 20 ranking. I'm not so sure about EGF and Rapids. Both teams do not seem to have the depth.

I am not sure how white bear goes ahead of Edina or Cent since they lost to both of them a couple weeks ago..Eagan? see below Minnetonka? lost big to Moorhead AV? in the top 10 AV just lost 3-0 to Edina, Moorhead ties cent and beats 3 teams not in your top 20 and makes the top 10 and Rogers deserves to be ahead of Wayzata and MG until they lose to them 1-0-1 agaisnt Way and 6-2 victory over MG?
Woodbury just beat Eagan 6-1 well whatever I guess we can just wait for Chuck Norris to get them in.....
1 East
2 Rochester win 2 huge tourneys back to back
3 Rogers until they play someone below and lose or beat someone ahead
4 Wayzata
5 OMG
Clearly the top 5 at this point although some of these teams have lost some games that make you scratch your head... and the dream goes on.

In defense of Roseau, that game was 8:15 am the day after Turkey day, they are a good team that had a bad game. It happens to most teams at some point.

Good point. Stillwater has done what it takes to be there. Roseau, EGF, Grand Rapids haven't. Doesn't mean they won't be there as the season progresses, but they haven't shown through their schedules that they can compete with the top teams. So, add Stillwater to the list with Bloomington Jefferson, Minneapolis Park, and Eden Prairie for the teams that CTBrow has overlooked.
the only team on that list that i have overlooked is Jefferson. but in the end they lost to armstrong!!! not good
minneapolis park has gotten whipped when not playing lower opponents, except for Rochester Red.
eden prairie it is true crushed roseau, so maybe i overvalue roseau, but they have a 4-6 record since 11/16(the date that HS players left). and none of those are over top 20 opponents, and none are dominant victories
teams i will take a closer look at this week are: woodbury, stillwater and north metro. as well as jefferson. park and ep need to run some teams over this week to gain consideration
CT keep your credibility remember some teams don't get BYE week.
Here you state your case against this:
1 Duluth E
2 Wayzata just beat Roch I noticed must have been today
3 Rochester
4 Rogers
5 OMG
6 Lakeville S
7 Apple Valley
8 Edina
9 Centennial
10 Moorhead
11 a WBL b Roseville c Stillwater
12 Mpls Park
13 Roseau
14 Burnsville
15 Bemidji
16 Eden Prairie
17 Minnetonka
18 Woodbury
19 Jefferson
20 Eagan

Don't waste your time with mpls park they lost to N. metro
Ctbrow two things. One I don't know what your definition of whipped is but Mpls/Park has competed with or beat every top twenty team they have played, even the 8-2 game with OMG they had a lead and the shots were pretty even the only difference was OMG capitalized on there chances Mpls did not. 4-2 loss to Wayzata 8-5 (EN) loss to Lakeville South, 3-2 loss to WBL beat Burnsville, Woodbury, and Rochester Red I don't see how this is getting whipped by every good team they play. Secondly Eden Prairie is a top twenty team wins over Wayzata, WBL, Centennial, Stillwater and Roseau seem to prove that. If anybody disagrees with me I would go watch both of them play.
Olson is a better goalie than kautz they had head to head Mach his summer sand olson beat him and rochester has more depth and talent then AV does olson is the reason that team is where they are right now
