HOCKEY PICKS WEEK#4 STANDINGS

Here are the standing thru week #4 of Hockey Picks. We had 7 people get the winner and the correct score for the bonus game, they were: Stealth, TTPuckster, DynamicD, Double Deuce, Papa Bergundy, TCQQL and Blaze. Way to go! Double Deuce remained on top and increased his lead with a BIG week, 23 points. 7 People have been eliminated from the competition due to not playing the past 2 weeks, they are: therealhockeytown27, Pioneer_18, Mrhockey999, GoldmanGolpher13, pondyplayer93, hshockey17 and La Croix. There are 6 people who didnt play last week and will be eliminated if they dont play this week, they are:hockeyhair15, puckman22, nickel slots, 4theloveofthegame, slapshot89 and Lucia4president. I don't mean to sound greedy, but I had 25 points this week. The only game I had wrong was the Bemidji/International Falls Game. There were 11 games this week + I had the bonus which is 5 points correct?

Your not being greedy, your competing and you should grab all the points you can get..lol. However, your score is correct, check it out..you got 10 games correct for 20 points plus 3 points for correctly picking the score of the bonus game. Let me know if you still dont understand.

Here is the rules from the first week:

Alright I will give this a shot. I was not here for last years run but I get the idea and think I can pull it off. We'll start this week right away, just Saturday games for this week. Next week we will include games from each day. We will run til the end of regular season which I think comes to 12 weeks, season ends on Feb. 21st. We will pick 10 games of which one game will be a BONUS game. Game win are 2pts, tie 1pt ( unless you pick it as a tie then is 2pt ) and zero for a loss. Bonus game is worth 5pts if you pick correct winner AND correct score of the game. This will be on the honor system, everyone needs to submit their score by Monday following week and I will keep a standings and post within a couple days. I will do some random checking of scores to try to keep everyone honest. We will use this Thread as picks only if someone wants to start a thread for pick conversation only that would be great. If anyone has any suggestions please feel free to speak up. No changes will be made on how this is run after the first week. So jump on board and lets have some fun! Please have picks for this Saturday in by Noon Saturday and 6pm Tuesday for all following weeks. Thanks Everyone!

I believe Double Deuce is right he should have received 25 points.

Nope! Sorry! My mistake! I was adding 5 points in addition to the original two points for the bonus game. Now that I read it again, the bonus game is worth two points and worth five if you get the score correct. So the most you can get for the bonus game IS 5 points and not 7 like I was thinking. Sorry about my confussion!

By the way HappyHockeyFan, Thanks for doing this. I have ran many "fantasy" and "picks" leagues before and they can be very time consuming. Even though I have enjoyed doing them, other people are counting on you to keep things up to date, correct and running smoothly. And that takes commitment of your own personal time! So Thanks!

Hey guys no problem, I enjoy doing this kind of stuff I am kind of a geek when it comes to fantasy sports and pickem's. Let me know if there is anything I can do to improve on this, I wasnt in on this last year so I dont know how it was run. I like the Trophy, we'll go with it!! Double Deuce is right about the scoring for the bonus game. Good luck guys!
