i agree with this one.. WBL has been expected by a lot of people to be blown out this whole tourney but they have played a heck of a tournament and i think they can take this one with good D and good goaltending. I agree with your score prediction.StateofHockeyFan wrote:i have said WBL will lose in blow out fashion and i have been wrong. WBL will have some momentum after the last two games and they clearly have played better than i expected.
WBL 3
Tonka 2
Minnetonka leads White Bear 3-1 after the 1st. Bears are being outshot 17-4. White Bear did convert on a power play, however, one of Tonka's goals was shorthanded from the same penalty.
Sam Coatta with two goals for the Skippers.
White Bear will start the 2nd shorthanded.

Nice week for Tonka
Tonka takes out #1 Hill, then plays "new" #1 Edina pretty even. Shots were dead even, Tonka could have tied or won that game if they had finshed their good scoring chances. Edina has better finishers. Also Tonka needed to take the body more, they missed every good opportunity to hit somebody in the Edina game.
Tonka then pounds WBL for 3rd place after winning the Gold Division last year. Nice to see the upper classmen step up today.
All 4 Tonka losses are against top 3 teams (Edina,STA-OT,East,EP)
This is a young team who is getting better as the season goes on. They have strong goaltending, and guys who can score. If they can stay physical when they need to be and continue to attack the net, they may be a force in the sections.
I see LPH has moved them up to #5 in AA. That may be a bit high, but they are definitely a top 10 team again this year. Go Urick!
