Here is my humble offering to Minnesota High School Hockey
Hello my name is Jeremy and I have been trying to figure out for awhile the format for creating a website on high school hockey in the state. I came to realize what a daunting task a website such as this would be in not only creating, but keeping it updated since there are so many teams and things to talk about. So, I have created a wiki page. If you don't know what a wiki page is, just think of wikipedia. It is basically a website in which users take part in editing and creating content. It requires you to register a simple user name and password, but then there are just about no limits to the amount and depth of information you can provide. After reading this forum for a long time, I would consider each one of you an expert in various areas of the sport. Whether you know a lot about Moorhead's team this year, or like discussing which teams should jump up to class AA, the possibilities really are endless. So, I am still trying to figure out how to best set it up, but the wiki can be accessed on the following link. Let me know what you guys think.

It's picking up steam and should be a great place to keep track of Minnesota High School hockey from a day-to-day basis. For a site that posts interesting stuff 3-4 times a week, check out:

Yes, it would be like this site, except it would be set up in a way for easier browsing. For instance, each section has its own page and each team can have their own page. It would be like having an encyclopedia of high school hockey information that is updated by fans. It is just another spot to look to for more of a fan's take on what's going on. There can be entire sections on recruiting at the D-1 schools, or really anything.
I saw someone commented on South St. Paul's goalie, which is a good example of what can be done on the site. But actually, if the individual were to register, they could edit the actual content of the site instead of just commenting. This would then allow the individual to talk in depth about the goalie and any other information that they know about South St. Paul's team. I think it could be a fun resource if people actually go and do it. So instead of a site of statistics or information coming from one individual, it is information coming from anyone and everyone that knows anything about any team.
I appreciate any discussion and opinions people have though.

"Only if you wrote on there."
You're right, there would be. ANYONE who is writing anywhere is presenting a bias, no matter how big or how small it is. Every ranking system presents a bias of some sort, of what those who are ranking or have programmed the computer want. This is the reason that having many different ranking systems out there, for example, is a good thing; to allow one to get a differing of opinions.
My whole point is that instead of a site to find out facts about teams it could easily turn into a message board.

I just do not see the need for another MN high school hockey website. This site presents all the information necessary. I think that you have a good idea, but I do not think that people will want to go to your website when they are already getting the same knowledge here. Sorry, but I don't think you will get that many visits.
