1ST LOOK AT 'EM... More games for data would be nice but here's what they say at this point... Overall, AA, and A rankings are below BEFORE today's games based on scores submitted to minnesota-scores.com - i'll be gathering other scores not there via other sites as well eventually - probably pulling from all 4 - MGHCA, MSHSL, minnesota-scores, and minnesotasportsonline (Strib)...

Note that I double listed Babbitt & "East Range" and they're the same team.... And Dodge County wasn't listed for some reason PLUS I throw out all games against non-MN Varsity sanctioned MSHSL teams (records reflect only mn games)

These are a "Power Ranking" meaning that the rating value indicates the odds for when two teams play - just divide the larger rating by the smaller rating for teams to get X/Y - to - 1 odds that the larger rating value team will win...

SOS coming soon too - but it looks to be very obvious that KRACH accounts for teams playing very weak schedules with lots of wins NOT being ranked at the very top to some degree...

Thanks for the kind words and it was fun to run this again as I'm always interested to see how it lines up with what ppl are saying on here vs polls, etc., etc.

I have to get the website part back up and hope to do that sometime over the holidays with a better format for viewing... That should include SOS too and maybe GF/GA, record, and comparison to current and previous weeks LPH polls per class - along with a section-by-section breakdown...

I may run last year too just to see how that actually ended up and compare it to the end-of-year LPH as I didn't run this at all last year (just not enough time with work new "real" job & coaching)

Second Great Question!!! And glad this was asked... Doesn't seem to make sense 'eh? I know =) I could explain in great detail but I've been told to keep it a lil shorter sometimes...

It's because any team's ranking is dependent on ALL other results (and teams). So, indirectly, if a number of other teams that your opponents played changed position then you'll be impacted as well. Or, directly, if teams you played changed spots than you can be impacted as well.

QRF came out today too and they have Duluth ranked lower than KRACH...

Agreed on this... I haven't looked at the crossover (AA vs A) games for those high ranked A schools that closely... That may tell us why they are ranked so high?
