Just posting the latest interviews (Red Wing coach George Nemanich and Fergus Falls' Mike Donaghue) and lots and lots of photos from the Wingers' 4-2 victory in Otters' country.
The Wingers look like they're back and in the hunt for a state tourney berth. They had plenty of speed and offensive pressure against Fergus Falls, but the next week will be a real test -- Albert Lea, South St. Paul and New Prague coming up. They make some noise there and we may be seeing the Wingers back in St. Paul in March.

In my opinion no their not, they are 8-5 overall and 4-1 in the missota and played a decenty hard schedule but I will say that they have their nights were they can look really good and nights were they can look really bad.
Red Wing has had a tough schedule so far playing teams like Holy Angels 4-1 Loss, Rochester Lourdes 3-1 loss and Mahtomedi 3-0 loss. They have a young team so I'm going to say it has taken them a few games to gel and play Nemanich's defensive style of hockey. They're goalie is only a 93' birth year too so it probably took him a few games to get used to the pace of high school hockey but he's put up solid numbers so far. I think they will be able to make a run but the next few games will be key for them getting a good seed for sections.
