I agree that they certainly have not looked good at all lately, but at least all their losses have come against higher-ranked competition, which is more than you can say for nearly any other team in the state (some exceptions are Blaine, Woodbury, and Sleepy Eye). They're taking care of business, and usually in convincing fashion, against the lower-ranked teams.

This was a joke that you apparently did not get.

If you're the worst team in the state, of course you haven't lost to anyone ranked below you...
---
And also, I note with some interest that you don't consider Blaine's win over Roseau to be a good win...

Not Really Blaines first game, pretty emotional I,m sure after last years state quarters little pay back that and roseau not playing up to potential all year.

 I got the joke but thanx for reminding me I thought Sleepy Eye was going all the way this year

I would put Jefferson above Edina. The baby blue jaguars are on a roll and are still unbeaten. With the best defense in the state the jags have let up 13 goals in 13 games.

No one can stop the Jags this year

The Bengals aren't all they are cracked up to be. Should be lower in the rankings as well as the spuds.

Moorehead will not be Section 8 champs.

In response:

I continue to put Edina above Jefferson due to their amazingly consistent performance against a ridiculously hard schedule. I'd expect Edina to put up very similar numbers, perhaps better ones, if they played Jefferson's schedule. Last night's results, which included a solid win over a good BSM team by Edina and a relatively ugly win by Jefferson over a very mediocre Lakeville team, seem to assert this.

These rankings were done before Moorhead's most recent loss, which was much more embarassing that any of the previous ones. I expect they'll be out of the rankings come Sunday; we'll see how everything else plays out, though.

As for Blaine...we'll have to wait and see. Saturday at Centennial should give us a much clearer picture of what's going on in Blaine.

i would have to agree, jefferson is a great team, but they haven't played as hard of a scheadule as other teams, so it really is hard to determine if they are #1 in state.

1.Edina
2.Jefferson
3.Centennial

With Jeffersons schedule when they do lose a game they will probably drop 7-8 spots. At least on this website

Even as an Edina fan, I think that the Jags have to be at #1 until they lose.

Does that mean Hutchinson should have been #1 in Class A until they lost 8 - 1 to Holy Angels the other night. :?
