2AA Seedings Set?

Post by HShockeywatcher »

Looking at 2AA, I put the section seedings at:
1. Edina
2. Jefferson
3. Holy Angels
4. Burnsville

Unless Edina or Jefferson decide to lose a handful of their remaining games, I doubt there is much that could happen between now and the end of the season that could change this. If Holy Angels were to win out (including their game against Shattuck) a case could be made for them at #2. Either way, when those two play, the place will be packed over capacity where it is in Bloomington or Richfield.

In the season, Edina and Jefferson won't play each other and if Jefferson wins out, I think it will be tough for coaches to vote against them because they have fairly equal results against similiar opponents. Layed the smack down on Burnsville, beat EP by 1, Edina twice, Jefferson once, neither played well against Wayzata, but both came away with the win. After getting fairly thoroughly dismantled by Edina, I think even if all three win out, AHA is in third. Edina or Jefferson would have to drop a couple of big games, to fall, especially considering that Edina and Jefferson play in much stronger conferences.

Jefferson has to make sure they beat EP the next time around beacuse if they lose to them then Edina is pretty much guranteed the #1 seed unless they lay and egg sometime before the end of the regular season. With that said though, lets say the Jags finish out the year undefeated....it's gonna be awful hard to deny an undefeated team the #1 seed
