Which Moorhead team will show up? The 5-0-1 team? Or the 0-7 team? Thief River Falls finally found a way to beat Moorhead last year with virtually the same team. The last three meetings look like this (if I'm not mistaken)...
MHD 4, TRF 3, OT
MHD 2, TRF 2, tie
TRF 3, MHD 1
Prediction:
Moorhead - 2
Thief River Falls - 2
F/OT
MHD 4, TRF 3, OT
MHD 2, TRF 2, tie
TRF 3, MHD 1
Prediction:
Moorhead - 2
Thief River Falls - 2
F/OT

I'm wondering, after how well Moorhead seemed to be doing at the start of the season (Pummeling White Bear, Bemidji, Grand Rapids, Roseau and Buffalo, as well as tying a very good Fargo team) what has happened to Moorhead? Are they simply lacking confidence after this losing streak, or what? I don't see what could possibly warrant going from beating a team 7-1 at the start of the season to losing to them 2-3 nine games later. Losses to teams like Edina, Hill Murray, STA and Duluth East are expected to happen, but it seems very rare that a Moorhead team would struggle this bad at this point in the season.Moorhead @ Fargo South T 2-2
White Bear Lake @ Moorhead W 6-3
Bemidji @ Moorhead W 7-1
Grand Rapids @ Moorhead W 5-2
Moorhead @ Roseau W 5-0
Buffalo @ Moorhead W 8-0
-----
Duluth East @ Moorhead L 0-4
Schwans Cup
Edina vs. Moorhead L 0-3
Moorhead vs. Hill-Murray L 0-7
St. Thomas Academy vs. Moorhead L 3-4
Moorhead @ Wayzata L 0-1
Moorhead @ Bemidji L 2-3
Moorhead @ Minnetonka L 1-3
Moorhead @ Thief River Falls L 1 -3

Spuds troubles
I believe lack of confidence is at the heart of their problem. In almost every game, they've had a similar number of shots or more shots than their opponents. With that many chances in each game,it seems like the main problem is the inability to finish. This is too good of a team to lose 8 games in a row. I hope it turns around soon, and I believe it will.HockeyHigh wrote:I'm wondering, after how well Moorhead seemed to be doing at the start of the season (Pummeling White Bear, Bemidji, Grand Rapids, Roseau and Buffalo, as well as tying a very good Fargo team) what has happened to Moorhead? MOORHEAD VS TRF
A NUMBER OF FACTORS WHY TRF WON, TIM IS A GOOD COACH, ZANE PLAYED GREAT, MOORHEAD IS IN A SLUMP AND WARROAD IS GOING TO MHD TO DO SOME STOMPIN. THEY WILL PROVE THEY ARE THE BEST TEAM IN ALL OF NORTHERN MN. IF THE SPUDS AREN'T UP FOR THIS ONE IT COULD BE UGLY.
