Maybe this has been covered before but how are Johnny & Rob Ankeny, the Edina & BSM goalies, related?

Pics from the game

A Hopkins parent posts pics from some of their games on a website. Here's the link to the Edina game. Can even tell it was hard hitting from these pictures. Fons got a workout!

Both were forced by one of their parents to quit for tennis. That last about a year and a half I believe. Before the tennis break, Robbie (older) was unreal. He used to be so good at goalie, and better than Johnny. Johnny has definitely caught up and now both are great tenders.

I don't think they were forced to quit for tennis, I think they were forced to quit because hockey was getting "too dangerous." That was also the reason they were forced to play goalie. Robbie was an excellent skater before he had to become a goalie.
