I think it was 4 - 2 with an empty-netter. or I missed a goal. A very well played game. AHA came out flying and dominated the first period, but only up 2 - 0. In the second Elk River was hitting hard and kept the game close, by taking AHA off their game. In the third, it was more of the same. Elk River got their first goal, then AHA came back down and got their third. Later in the third, Elk River got their second power-play goal. Then they pulled the goalie and AHA got the 4th goal and the win.
Weird, the shots were not well kept on the counter in the corner. At one point AHA had 20 shots, then went to 25. Elk River had 12 shots then scored, but no shot. Will have to wait for pointstreak for the total.

I agree with Zanman, well played game by both teams. AHA had a few better opportunities, but the Elks hung in.

Shots were kept poorly. Shots were more like AHA 35 ER 20 I think they were sleeping at the scorekeepers box.

Remember... the shot has to have the ability to go into the net...so a glove save where the puck would have gone over the net is not a save, nor is a stick save where the puck would have gone wide......

pretty sure Zamman has been around plenty of hockey to know that... but thanks for that bit of info, because on a serious note there probably are people who do not know that.

With that said, if you were at the game is was clear that not all shots were being recorded. A goal and a breakaway, I believe have the "ability to go into the net", plus a number of other shots, both way. There were many people in the stands wondering what was going on. Just what I saw. nuff said
