Goalie Wyatt Soderquist, Cambridge-isanti

Post by hockeyfosho »

Soderquist, Wyatt Cambridge - Isanti Junior 18 games: 896:48 minutes: 559 saves: 621shots against: 62 goals allowed: 3.53 GAA: 0.900 save %:

These numbers aren't the best but i do know CI does not have a very strong team. I saw the CEC game and he made 43 saves in a shut-out. He looked pretty tall maybe 6'2" and very quick. Does anyone know anything more about this kid??

Soderquist played in the elite 2 league as mentioned. CI was well represented and some players contributed very nicely to the team. Soderquist was the MVP of there playoff run which ended up in a championship. Stats can be extremely misleading for players both goalies and skaters with tremendous variables including strength of schedule, power play time, quality of teammates..... you might want to look beyond just his stats and watch his mobility, competiveness and up side potential
In my opinion Soderquist is a very good goalie with nice size and the potential to play Juniors and beyond. He will be challenged as he will be difficult to get noticed playing for CI. Hope he gets a chance because if he does he might make it. Remember that Kangas had to fight for playing time at Sioux Falls to get a chance and look where he is. Good Luck Wyatt!

Cambridge is actually a pretty solid team, just with a few bad games like most teams have. Although Wyatt Soderquist has been pulled from few games he is still top 3 goalies in the state. I would have to say he is above average goalie.

Anyone who thinks Cambridge is a "decent" team, must be on some sort of illegal narcotic. They are not a good team and he is not even close to top 10 in the state for goaltenders. Just like someone else said, he's an average goaltender.

the only kind of person that would start this thread is the actual player themselves its so obvious...and for your schdule..those are not good numbers...your GAA is horrible...pretty pathetic thread....why would anyone start a thread on an average goalie on a bad team that plays a poor schedule? hopefully some junior B team you are seeking to get noticed by does not read my post here....haha
