he can play against any of the teams including Wayzata Blue

Are you talking about Eagan Blue or Eagan Green? Because Eagan Green is the team that has beat your team (Apple Valley) twice.

2 Duluth East- Solid team. Get another chance at Wayzata this weekend.
3 Burnsville- Haven't seen them play, seem to be inconsistent.
4 Edina Green- Have similar problems as Burnsville with consistency.
5 Eagan Blue- I think this is high for this team. Should be abou
6 Moorhead- Their Tourny this weekend will show where this team belongs.
7 Osseo/Maple Grove- Solid team if they could put the puck in the net.
8 Minnetonka- I have liked this team when I have watched them, but they seem to lose games they shouldn't.
9 Wayzata Gold- When their intensity is high they are hard to beat. When it is low, they are just OK.
10 Edina White- Another team that I believe is too high. Tournaments prove this when they are 6-5.
11 Eden Prairie- Better team than ranked. Keep meeting Wayzata Blue in tournaments.
12 Elk River- Fell off radar with early losses to Blaine and OMG, but have rebounded nicely since Hopkins tourny and losing to Wayzata Navy.
13 Sauk Rapids- Dark horse. I wouldn't want to play them and have a lot to prove this weekend in Moorhead.
14 Apple Valley- Get benefit from playing in D6, but too many loses and ties to be this high in my book.15 Lakeville South- Decent wins, but some bad loss to IGH and twice shutout by AV. Also tied winona and Hastings.
16 Blooming. Jefferson- OVERATED. Due to being in D6, but too close to .500 and biggest win is Eagan, who is also overrated.
17 Stillwater- Haven't seen play and therefore will not say anything, but 4th in district, where leader is #19 Tartan.
18 Woodbury Blue- Both Woodbury teams are good when they work hard, but both are easy wins if they don't.
19 Tartan- haven't seen them but are ahead of Stillwater in standings.
20 Woodbury White- Look at 18.
Apple Valley is rated high because of this:

2-1 W over #11 Eden Prairie
6-1 W over #15 Lakeville South
2-3 L vs. #5 Eagan Blue
7-0 W over #17 Stillwater
2-2 T vs. #20 or #18 Woodbury (didn't say which one)
1-1 T vs. #16 Jefferson
3-0 W over #16 Jefferson
3-0 W over #15 Lakeville South
4-0 W over #15 Lakeville South
1-2 L vs. #7 OMG
4-2 W over #11 Eden Prairie
2-2 T vs. #4 Edina Green
2-3 L vs. #4 Edina Green
4-3 W over #12 Elk River
5-3 W over #16 Jefferson
3-3 T vs. #10 Edina White
2-1 W over #3 Burnsville

They have some other losses vs. ranked teams but just some games to justify the ranking.
You conveniently forgot to mention the two losses (0-3 and 2-3) to unranked Eagan Green.

Yes i think Eagan Green is pretty good - way better
than some of the teams that are ranked....

I will say that both games .vs. Eagan were the 2nd
games of the day for AV - we have kids that
just do not have legs for that....
the 1st game at the Hopkins tournament - the officials
called 11 penalties against us and 2 for Eagan

but a win is a win - and certainly like i stated above
Eagan G is pretty good in my book.

and i see Eagan G just beat DE - isn't that the 2nd time ?

my comment was about Eagan Blue #6 - who sure seemed
to be A caliber - but maybe that was just the 2 games i saw him,
surely Eagan's A team is pretty good - just seemed that #6 could
play on many A teams....

now i see

Sauk Rapids just beat Wayzata Blue ( 1st loss )
but Sauk Rapids lost to Elk River
AV beat Elk River and i didn't think they were anything
but really physical...

so i think the old saying holds true

on any given day - any one can beat anyone....

and it helps a little if the refs really stick it to
one squad with call after call....that is the 'unknown' in all these games
besides whether or not the kids show up to play....

what i didn't understand is how did Eagan Green lose to Lakeville South
because we have played them 3 times and it's not even a contest
in the 2nd game -lakeville south had 1 shot on goal in period 2
and 0 shots on goal in period 3 and it wasn't because they
were missing the net - the whole game was in their end....

I heard the refs called Eagan G for everything and their coach
was kicked? rumor or fact ?

otherwise i would have thought Eagan G would have killed LS...

Not at all, I actually have never seen the team play. I was just giving a number of games in which they showed they are a quality team and to justify their ranking.

actually your incorrect and correct

AV lost to the OMG b1 team 2-1 in the Johnson Tournament
and lost to the OMG b2 team 2-1 in the Bloomington Tournament

According to the Johnson tourney and OMG site, I don't see a 2-1 score for AV vs. OMG BB1.

I was there...actually it was 3-1 OMG - an empty net goal at the end
and it certainly is listed on the OMG b1 page under scores

Not sure where you get your scores from, but DE has never played Eagan Green.

Wrong -- Duluth East and Eagan Green played at Fryberger on 12/19. Eagan Green won 3-2. (They've only played each other the one time, though, so the information about a second game was incorrect.)

I can deny this. He quit after the Edina Tournament. Where did you hear this?
Why did he quit? Things seemed to be going quite well for the blue squad.

From what I have heard, there were internal issues. I believe some parents were not happy with the coaches and were expressing their opinion. All teams have issues and even a undefeated, at the time, team has people that aren't happy.

Eagan Blue won the Hermantown tournament, beating Burnsville, Wayzata Gold, and Thunder Bay. Will they move up this week? Will Burnsville move down? Who is the better team Eagan or Burnsville? Eagan is 2-0-1 this year against them. Any other major wins or losses this week that could effect the rankings?

D8 Scores from last week.

River Heights-6
Lakeville South-2
River Heights is making a late season run

Lakeville South-3
Woodbury Blue-2

Eagan Green-6
Woodbury Blue-2
Eagan Green Playing well/ will play River Heights 2/4 in a big game.
Woodbury Blue seems to be slumping.

Rochester lost to Winona for the 2nd time last week, but then rebounded nicely with two wins over Lacrescent and Lakeville North, they are in the hunt.

Winona Had a big win over Rochester for a nice recovery after there 2nd loss all year at the hands of River Heights.

Woodbury White Should win out there remaining league schedule.

The standings look something like this:

1. Eagan Blue- Havent lost yet, they will run away with the season title

2. A complete logjam, with tons of situations that could happen
-Rochester
-River Heights
-Lakeville South
-Winona
-Woodbury White
-Eagan Green
-Woodbury Blue

Any one of them could finish 2nd or 8th

Whats up with White Bear Black? I just looked at there website and it shows there record being 11-12-3. They have 1 win over a ranked opponent of Moorhead. On the flip side they have 8 losses to ranked opponents. Must be a white bear fan doing these particular rankings for LPH.

Everything else seems to be where they should be.
