SEC race?
With the way the SEC has been goin down this year, and still 6 games remaining with almost if not all of them being conference play, i see it as woodbury on top with stillwater roseville and WBL very close behind. whos going to challenge woodbury for the sec title in the home stretch?
(w-t-l)
Woodbury-(7-1-1)
Stillwater-(6-2-3)
Roseville-(6-1-3)
WBL-(6-0-3)
I believe these are the records, correct me if im wrong. but it looks pretty close with woodbury and WBL only having conference games remaining. Roseville with 2 non conference, and stillwater with 3 non conference left.

White Bear has lost to Woodbury, Stillwater, and Roseville already this season. But if they can somehow get the split against all three teams to close out the conference. They have a great shot at winning the SEC, and getting the possible 2 seed come section time. A tough task indeed, all on the road, but the Bears are now full strentgh, and I believe there best hockey is still ahead of them.

It's W-L-T, get it straight. You are starting to sound like me wife who loves to relay the scores with the lower number first!blanco oso wrote:With the way the SEC has been goin down this year, and still 6 games remaining with almost if not all of them being conference play, i see it as woodbury on top with stillwater roseville and WBL very close behind. whos going to challenge woodbury for the sec title in the home stretch?

This week has the top four playing:
Woodbury (9-1-1) at Mounds View and home against Park
Cretin (8-2-1) home against Forest Lake and at Stillwater
White Bear Lake (8-3-0) at Stillwater and home against Hastings
Roseville (7-3-1) home against Hastings and Forest Lake
On paper, they all look like wins for each of the top four. However, that is why they play the game as Woodbury, White Bear and Roseville have shown in losses this season.

Body shots??? My ex-wife used to do the same thing in relaying scores...
I traded her for a 6-pack of Bud Light!!! I was so happy to do so, I gave 5 to my buddies and drank one myself!!!
I think the way WBL is playing right now, on all cylinders, the remaining foes better look out. WBL is not just winning, but they are whipping up the opponents... Mouds View isn't all that bad, but pregame post, I stated this team would come out attacking MV and they did. I don't think Roseville, Stillwater and Woodbury will see the same team they played earlier.
My only concern, as I am pretty close to the team with the work I do for them, they have got to get healthy. I haven''t talked to him directly the past few days, but Zach Hoffman has been playing all year with a hip he injured this summer, and I am willing to bet he's playing with 100% heart and 60% discomfort.
Folks... he's intense... he's a leader... and for the minutes he's logging right now, he will be so key down the stretch. I hope Sags knows when it's safe to rest him. He didn't see much of the ice at all the 3rd period vs MV, if at all, and we need to make sure he's able to provide the leadership come crunch time.
So... WBL may not pass Woodbury, but I think they may just fly into that #2 spot in conference.

i agree with goldfishdude... i dunno what mustangman was talkin about wbl finishing after woodbury stillwater and roseville.. wb is on fire and they'll be the number two seed for sure unless they completely blow the rest of the season but i highly doubt that will happen.. but then again you never know with wb always being on and off

If Woodbury plays their best I don't think they should have a problem with Cretin or Roseville but White Bear is a different story they've been playing some good hockey recently and I think that is going to be a great game. If White Bear wins they probably will not pass Woodbury for the conference title but it would be a great moral boost when they head off to play in the super tight section 4aa.
