I saw EP vs DE. It was 1 to 1 after 1. They did the ice after the first and whatever the DE coach said to his kids, they responded, they played like one of the top teams in state the 2nd and 3rd, complete domination. EP needs to work extremely hard to compete with teams like this and this was not their best effort.

OR did the EP coaches play the kid(s) that have been benched for remaining important games ?

there is a difference between losing 15-0 to a better team, than having the score run up on you 15-0. the wbl coaches were gloating and reveling in their victory over us. players running into our goalie at 12-0. i don't blame the wbl players, they should have been reigned in. their coach told me they had no interest in doing that. this is the reason for my frustration.

4 years ago, the team i coached played against wayzata and got blown out, tom younghans had the grace to come and apologize after the game, explaining that he moved players and expected passes in the offensive zone. i believe this is the proper way to hand a blow out situation.

incidentally, we are 2-25-2, and the kids are having a good time and improving tremendously. there is no animosity and we play a clean and hard game. and THAT'S what matters. you can fault me for caring about my skaters and being willing to stick up for them, if you want to, but a poor sport i am not.

Why do associations insist on having "A" teams when they obviously cannot compete at that level. You would better serve the kids by putting them at the B1 or B2 level. Sounds like WBL were out of control, but you had no business playing at that level. Quit complaining and do the right thing.

If you are this team's coach, they are in good hands. Not every team can be 25 and 4. If you can keep a positive perspective at 2-25-2, then you have taught the kids so much more than the other team was taught when they were tacking on that 14th and 15th goal.

Como playing a clean game?? Boy how things have changed. I played in the Shop Pond Gang  growing up and the only thing clean was the locker room before the first kids walked in and took off their boots and put away their wallets that were attached to their jeans with a chain!!! Long Live RICE STREET!!!!!!!!
