Birkinbine, whatever he did to his shoulder, he needs the tendons to repair themselves, he is able to play once the pain subsides, who know whe n that will be? but if he comes back to early, one false move and it could be the end... this is what i have heard.blanco oso wrote:who did you hear that from?sicknasty7722 wrote:did you just make that up? birkinbine will be back sometime this week.blanco oso wrote:anyways. birkinbine is out 2-3 weeks. most likely wont play until sections.

Injured players have hurt the Bears this year but still the ups and downs of the team are because of the bad coacing this team gets year after year. The WBL coaches tear the players confidence down with lies, blatent favortisum and poor developement of returning players. At WBL the sophmores always look great because most of them are coming out of a couple great years at the bantum level and advanced 15 & 16's with good coaching and positive, successful experiences. However once these players are juniors at WBL they don't peform as well because they haven't had proper player developement and coaching for two years. By the end of the season their confidence is in the toilet and players are not getting the playing time they need because the coache are jacking them around. The seniors that should have performed well as juniors have finially quit listening to their coaches and start playing well again as individuals out for themselves to get as many points as possible to somehow get noticed for a juniors team because they still have the desire to play at the next level despite all they have been through. It is a sad cycle. Get out if you can... like we did or if you can go somewhere else!

Knock, knock, knock......hello......It's Barry!!!!
I hear what your saying buzzershot and I agree with you. And yes Karl, this topic has been covered but I'm not sure it should ever really go away. Not until "he" does.
To keep Karl happy I'll stay off that subject for a little bit......these key injuries are really gonna hurt the Bears. It's too bad. No one likes to see the kids get injured and not be able to play. I always wish the best for my Bears. They should still have enough firepower to get past Roseville, Cretin and hopefully when everyone's back...Woodbury.
Karl seems to take it very personal when you attack Sager and the misfits....step lightly buzzershot....he might be related to one of them!!! For a guy from Duluth that now lives in DC he sure has a lot to say about WB hockey???

I thought you'd found a little humility at the end of that last thread. Wishful thinking on my part, I guess.BarryMcConnell wrote:Knock, knock, knock......hello......It's Barry!!!!

There are several people on here who can personally attest that I am in no way related to Tim Sager or White Bear Lake hockey. I have two living relatives in the state of Minnesota, and either of them is Tim Sager. I have never met Tim Sager, nor anyone who has gone to WBL HS, for that matter.
I just saw that a lot of people were ripping on the man for various issues and--with no backround information at all--decided to see if they were right. I made my conclusions, which if you want to see can be found on page for of the "WBL ups and downs" thread.
As I have said before, it is entirely possible that Sager lies to his players or whatever. But if you honestly think that ranting about that on here is going to do anything about the problem, you're hopelessly naive. Show some class and handle internal matters in the way they're supposed to be handled.

Well.. thanks to my WBL contact, I didn't think I needed to deal with this issue again.
Quite frankly, I can't agree more with Karl and Goldfishdude. Get out from behind your masks and show your faces if you choose to have issues with your current coach. I am TIRED of the accusations that players are getting hurt, because they have a bad coach.
Is Jacque Lemaire a bad coach? No, he's regarded by many astutue players, GMs and the media as one of the elite coaches in the game. Is it his fault Marian Gaborik gets hurt all the time? Injuries are part of the game.
Obviously, Mr. McConnell, if you were any BIG WHEEL in the WBL association, your voice would be heard about how a hockey team should be run, and if it was so severe of an issue in the HS program, they would make a change faster than a pit stop at Brainerd International.

Hey, Midwestscout??? I DO appreciate your sticking up for our program, or for coaches in general. However, since I am part of the program at WBL, I think I can handle these jicky jacks by myself. I will be able to hopefully handle these a**clowns, so, it you don't mind backing off, for your reputation-sake, I think we would all appreciate it.

I try to stay neutral, and keep my sense of professionalism, but in a sense, I take a little offense in your remarks, Goldfishdude. Just as much as I don't think Barry McConnell or buzzershots have a voice strong enough to make a stink in the WBL association, I don't think you have the ability to handle those "jicky-jacks" as you say you can. If you think that THEY can't have any influence, or for that matter, since I scout goalies, that I can't have an influence with your son being a goalie, I would be careful of the words you choose, because you may be wrong.
In one sense, I have read some of your posts since you have jumped on board, and it seems as though you are using this forum for a comedy routine, and for your case, I hope your son is a better goalie than you are as a comedian.
but... please, enough already...

Unless someone is making comments that are horribly defamatory, treating hearsay as fact, or beating drums that have been re-hashed ten million times on here, I don't think anyone has a right to stop anyone else from posting on a topic (except the Admins, of course). You fall into none of these categories, so post away, I think you're saying very level-headed things about this situation.midwesthockeyscout wrote:Karl?? Your thoughts??
I won't try to speculate on who Goldfishdude is. I can't really figure out what his complaint is, really, his post is kind of vague. It seems like maybe he's saying someone in your position shouldn't be commenting on this, from what I've read from you, you seem to know where to draw the line between your job and what you post on here very well.
