Sounds like words to be ate!!!!!!conditioningsucks wrote:This is another slam dunk tourney.
Rogers all the way. In fact, the competition is so light at this one that the Rogers coaches can allow no curfew, unlimited swimming & jacuzzi', no backchecking or forechecking, and slacking off every other period.

They may lose the very first game!!!!!

FYI - No, no players have quit. And I expect everyone of them will continue to play for a number of years. There was one player who made the choice to play at the B1 level. And everyone supported him in this choice if it was going to make it more enjoyable for him, and he still has many players on the A team that consider him a good friend.
It amazes me how much other people can bash this program with no knowledge of what goes on. Why is it that the big programs that shorten their bench in close games, and yes I've seen it happen many times this year, never get called to task, whereas a program like this skates half their players at the A level takes all the grief!

AS a coach myself i see both sides. At one point the bantam level is about development, so for at least part of the season (half or so) kids should be put in situations to play a decent amount. Not to say that has to be every 3rd shift and pp and pk but still gettting in the game. Then it comes to a point int eh season where it is about winning. THen, as much as i hate to say it...you play your best and hide kids who arent at that level. Rogers isnt a extremely large assn, they have some kids on that team that would be fine playing B1, just like most assns in the state. The fact of the matter is, i asume the kids who arent playng know their roles and are ok with it.rogershockey wrote:FYI - No, no players have quit. Enough said, best of luck to Rogers.

Rogers should keep doing what they are doing success should be congratulated. I was curious if the third line guys were bent? They won't be if you make the state tourney...
By the way they win the DL tourney in a MAJOR landslide and I am ready for dinner if one those teams keeps it from a runner. But they still win the ship.

I'm not saying I'm a ND hockey fan at all, but depending on how much this Rogers team has played outside of the TC area, they may be in for a surprise up north....Fire and Ice wrote:Rogers should keep doing what they are doing success should be congratulated. Don't worry too much about the Fargo Angels, Fargo Raiders and Grand Forks, the Fargo Flyers are about the only ND team any MN team has to worry about and their Bantam A is beatable this year.mngopherfan wrote:Does anyone know much about those canadian teams playing in DL this weekend?defense wrote:I'm not saying I'm a ND hockey fan at all, but depending on how much this Rogers team has played outside of the TC area, they may be in for a surprise up north....Fire and Ice wrote:Rogers should keep doing what they are doing success should be congratulated. As for the canadian teams, it's been pretty rare for one to do much in the tournaments I have seen or seen results from.
