I'd say Elk River is winning games at the right time. Using the experience from the beginning of the season. If they make it past East, which won't be an easy task, they could do some damage at State.
Another thing I would add is that many people want to beat up Blaine and Centennial for losing to Maple Grove/Elk River. I don't think this game shows that "Blaine/Centennial isn't as good as we thought they were" but that it shows "Elk River is much better than they were being given credit for all season."

Looks like Duluth East will have to go through Elk River to get to the show this year!!!

Apparently Elks are on a roll. What happened to Pitlick, Lovick, Schmidtz and pals?CB00 wrote:The Elks are 8-1-1 in the last ten with wins against Blaine, Centennial, Osseo and Andover. Tied Maple Grove, lost to AHA by 1 (en). They aren't giant killers, maybe, just maybe they turned into the Giant.u
