Cloquet 4
Forest Lake 2

Cloquet outplayed Forest Lake for most of the game. Shots 37-32 for the Jacks. First time watching Forest Lake. Very impressed by FL's #18 Audrey Hanmer, just a sophmore. Good size and speed. Keep an eye on this one.

Looking at box scores some exciting hockey Lakeville N won in OT and WB scored at 16:59 of the third to win in regulation.

Minnesota-Scores.net shows:

St. Paul Blades 5 Roseville 0

I just saw this on that site and almost fell off my chair, only to look here and see the 9-0 Roseville win...
Should have looked here first... :D

Immediately after I posted it here I realized "this can't be right" and so I went to the MGHCA site and found the correct score. Not that MGHCA is perfect, far from it. Look there even now the next day and they don't have half the games played last night. Unfortunately you still have to be a bit of a detective to come up with a complete, accurate listing of games and scores.

It's also interesting that Minnesota Sports Online, which the Star Tribune features on its web page, still has the Blades winning the game 5-0, and yet the regular scoreboard section (and in this morning's paper) has the score right at 9-0 Roseville. Minnesota Sports Online is directly linked to Minnesota-Scores.net so they are always going to be the same, but fortunately the Star Tribune has other sources to (usually) get the correct scores. For comparison purposes here are the links to the main sources of game results, each showing last night's scores:

Fwiw I've seen times where minnesota sports online aka strib and minnesota scores not the same so while under same umbrella website organization not always the same results sometimes the same wrong results etc.

Bottom line is that this skews any ranking system based on either sites results if used for input data... Bad enough to have incomplete or inconsistent but when simply wrong??? Not good!

When at the mercy of these issues any ranking computer based especially is only so good... I've tried to adjust krach input data as I find problems with these sites but qrf is blind to such needed corrections and this should be taken into consideration...

Duluth was overmatched the entire game. It was never a question who the better team is/was, as the shots (and quality of) were heavily in favor of the Mirage from the get go. However, PHM really needs to get better goaltending fast if they want to make it to state and do any damage. Speaking of goaltending, did Duluth really just end their season with a Division 1 goalie on the bench?

Hopkins 5 Cooper 1 Hopkins dominated entire game, Burns stood on her head all game and Cooper D was bunched in front of net whole game. Tough to get shots through.

Benilde 4 Buffalo 1 Did not see this game but I think this is correct score.

North Metro 6 Armstrong 2 Watched last two periods, NM has a good first line. Armstrong overmatched except first period ended tied at 1. Both teams took too many penalties but Armstrong always takes too many and it is usually the same players in the box.

Duluth's sophmore goalie Turner is as good, if not better the Bellamy. I can remember some stinker goals Bellamy had allowed in previous years sectional games.
