Seems to me Tartan beat Hill last year....how did that work out for them? Tartan will likely live off this win for a while & drop another game to Mahtomedi on Sat. Gonna be tough to seed Tartan higher than Hill if they finish behind them in the same conference.

With him being out Tartan has to rely on their back up who is pretty bad....
Tartan won 4-2 with an en goal but it was a very good game to watch very physcial and it came down to defense with Zepeda for Hill and the core for Tartan.
even game then in the 3rd Zepeda (who granted is not a Defenseman at all) basically lost the puck in his zone and Tartan scored..not saying tyler lost the game but thats going to happen with him at that position..

both teams medicore thats for sure...

hill will be #1 seed, then W Bear then tartan then stillwater is my guess...

flip a 4 headed coin in this disaster of a region...

How would Tartan be behind Hill? They are 1-0-1 against them. Explain that one.

If Hill finishes ahead of Tartan in the conference, it will be dificult to seed Tartan higher. If they tie, then Tartan will get the higher seed based on head-head record. Not real difficult stuff.

Pretty bad??? 40 saves on 42 shots. yea he must be horrible =D> about the time you think tartan has no chance they step up and play well. To beat HM at Aldrich with a "bad" goalie in nets for them shows me the team has depth. idk I cant figure any Classic Suburban team this year. I will say by the looks of 4AA Tartan has some high end scorers, some decent defensive players, solid 3rd line role players and more depth at goaltending than anyone else may have. You dont beat HM by luck folks. Like it or not Tartan may have a team guys.

if that were my prediction then i got the 2 part right. not gonna make any more predictions. we got too many bad players to win anymore games anyhow. hope all the tartan haterz hate us for a lot longer this year. right to the tournament. if not, well theres always next year. my goal was to pizz some ppl off and that i did!! now we be gettin down to some bizness!

They will have a team with all senior leadership next year. It would be their A bantman team that had an very good record and the kids will have been playing on the same teams now from peewees to High school.

Totally agree Elvis. Those seniors had an unbelievable A Bantam year and have been skating together since peewees. There are going to be 10-12 Seniors on Tartan next year, they should be pretty good!

The whole Varsity will not be seniors, just a very large chunk of the team will be. The others will be most likely all juniors.

Ya really.......and if you think about it Pitlick is up for Mr. Hockey (no offense to him) but his crime was probably worse than the 4 boys at Hill Murray. Where is the justice? Just so some parent could have his kid on the Varsity.

They will have 3 senior goaltenders and 15 or 16 skaters that are seniors next year.

seniors do not = a winning team. take a look at henry sibley
kudos to the section 4A and 4AA teams for giving this fan another fun winter of hockey watching. Mahtomedi, So St Paul and STA, simply some of the best hockey for small schools in the state. HM shows that High School hockey does have rules that need to be followed at all costs, Tartan, the emergence of a decent team with depth and HOW BOUT THEM SPARTANS from Richfield, upsets over Mahtomedi and HM...a resurgance of a great hockey tradition. So coaches, players and schools.Thank You All. =D>

I agree, Section 4A and 4AA had one of the best seasons I have ever seen! It was neck n neck almost the entire season, and very interesting to see how it all played out.
Pucknutz, I never said the seniors = a winning team. I'm saying that 15 players who have played together since peewees and had an unbelievable A Bantam year, and now they are all playing on Varsity together next year = they should be a winning team! 8)
