Gutsy call!
Bemidji beat Grand Rapids twice. Cloquet beat Bemidji in OT. Maybe not as big of an upset as years past. 8)

You and State Champ 97 are right...just a little jab on my part. I'm guilty of thinking GRG is better than they are...but when you look at the scores...this game is certainly a toss-up and you might be proven right...AGAIN!

The Cloquet pick is only a feeling, when I have to admit that Grand Rapids is the better team on paper...

I am actually a big fan of the Indi... Lightning! :D
Since my childhood days in the 70"s, the Orange bubble helmeted teams have always been a favorite of mine :!:

So, the jabs are fine Deadly, this is all in fun anyway :D

Good luck to all

I also agree that this pick is not at all "out there"; I refered to it earlier as "gutsy" only because you were first (and maybe the last?) to go with Cloquet. After looking at their prior two games, and thinking Cloquet's been on a bit of an upswing as of late, an upset here is certainly very possible. I thought about it, but I guess I wasn't "gutsy" enough, maybe because my upset picks last week didn't pan out so good...And the other game...who the heck knows either?

Duluth & PHM should be a great game, but expect a low scoring D struggle...
All four of these teams are very good teams, and would represent 7AA very proudly :!:

Be sure to post your scores for the Section 7AA games before 10:00 am tomorrow (Saturday) morning (no chance to gain points without predictions).

Sections 1AA and 2AA complete their quarterfinal games this evening, so if results are known these semi-final matchups will be posted later on tonight.

All other sections will be playing their quarterfinal games tomorrow, on Saturday, so check back late Saturday night or Sunday.

Also, still time for anyone else to get in on this, just post your predictions for Sections 3AA and 7AA games below!

Great pick DmanDad with score and outcome. I too am shocked over this, and especially since I rank GRG so highly after playing them twice. Also hard to believe Duluth lost since Hopkins has played both Duluth and PHM and there was no question that I thought Duluth is the better. Oh well, this is what happens in one and done.
