Minnetonka JGA... finally dererving some talk?

Post by tonkagoalie29 »

Coming off a big win over Edina in the championship of the Edina Tournament, I feel like we finally got our stuff together and might finally be deserving some recognition...

Took you 3 times to beat Edina. Minnetonka is a good team, but from what I have seen they aren't dominate. If it wasn't for their goalie(which might be you?) they wouldn't have had a chance vs. Edina. Shots were like 38-16 or something. But regardless a win is a win, just see if they can keep it up in league play, where it actually matters.

yea its a good point. but what i was saying was it took us a little while to get it together. and i feel like we could make a run. tonka v. centennial tomorrow night will be a good test of that.

Minnetonka Warriors are one of the top teams in the league, no doubt. They have proved themselves against Centennial and Edina. If they find a way to neutralize EP's top line, they have a very good chance of making it verrry far in state playoffs.

Tonka Warriors

Tonka is playing good hockey and is on a 14 game unbeaten streak going

13-0-1 with quality wins wins over Edina, Centennial, Burnsville (2x),

Wessy's, and Brookings, SD (Wayzata champs) during the streak.

Tonka unbeaten string?

Post by wildthing »

Probably silly to question Bluebood who you can count on for facts.....but, League standngs show Tonka took a loss on Jan. 20, and has won 5 straight league games since. Did they win about 3 tournaments since 1/20 to tally up the other 8 wins plus a tie?

Next week I will rank them no lower than 4. The big question will be how consistant will WBL be.

Good questions. blueblood is here to report the facts:

Last loss for Tonka was to the Jags.

Won a league game before Edina tourney

Went 4-0 in Edina tourney beating Edina 2-1 in finals.

Won 4 more league games between Edina & Duluth tourneys

Went 4-0-1 in Duluth Tourney. Due to the tie against Ft. Francis, had to settle for 3rd place with win over Burnsville 6-3.

Tied Wayzata last night.

13-0-2 in last 15 games....

Make that 18 and counting:

15-0-3

Will it end? It usually does. Hopefully not tonite or tomorrow....

No one cares about your 18 game unbeaten streak. Earlier in the season Edina had a streak where they went 17-0-1 and EP had a streak where they went 19-0-1. I really hope Tonka can back up their talk during regions because they sure think they are amazing right now

Sk8ter boy and Bardown:

I never used the word "amazing" in any of my blogs regarding Tonka. I have given credit to EP, Edina and WBL.

I report the facts and I don't make the schedule. If it was "easy" to have a long non-losing streak, why hasn't WBL, Wayzata, or Jefferson done it?

My current top 10:

1) Edina
2) EP
3) Tonka
4) WBL
5) Wessy
6) Jefferson
7) Duluth
8) Wayzata
9) Burnsville
10) Champlin Park

19 and counting.....

First off, no one said it was easy.

Jefferson hasn't done it because lets look at their last 19 games...they have played you twice(1-0-1 vs Tonka), Edina twice, WBL and EP.

Tonka has played one quality team: Edina.

I understand you don't make the schedule, but I think you are getting a little cocky still. You try to put down Jefferson and Wayzata by saying that they haven't gone on non-losing streaks like you, last time I checked, you just tied both those teams. So I wouldn't go thinking your all great until you can name some quality teams that you BEAT on your 19 game streak.

I give you credit, Tonka is a good team. We all know that. Just not as good as you may think. I would like nothing more than for you guys to run into a good team and just get slaughtered. It would really make my day.

I have a question. Do you guys ice the puck as much as your B team does? cuz if you do, i dont see why you should be getting so much talk.

Bard's and Blueby you two will just have to agree to disagree. I have seen Tonka play numerous times and they are a good team, not a great team. Put three periods together, move the puck and play as a team and then maybe you can be considered with the top two teams. Otherwise let your play in the next few weeks show us where you truly should be ranked. It's where you stand at the end of the year that really matters.

Mermaid Man how ignorant are you. First of all you know you suck at life when your playing for a JGB team. Second of all how could you even begin to ask a question like that? Comparing JGB to JGA is like comparing a girls team to a boys team. I can also tell your real sweet by your user name mermaid man? You should probably pick up a new hobby cause you blow at hockey you junior gold B PLEASE BAN ME. Also another tip maybe get a girlfriend or a boy who shares your passion for spongebob, which ever you prefer, so you dont have to keep sitting at home everyday jacking off to spongebob square pants. Your not worthy to ever comment on a junior gold A forum, so after you read this go play with your spongebob blow up doll.

Hey pipes, fair enough.

FYI - The latest standings show Tonka in 3rd place in the metro league.
They also won last night and are 14-4-3 with 49 points.

Looks like Mermaid Man touched a raw nerve - with a response from Warriordangler that vitriolic, he must be on to something.

Spongebob rules!

By the way, it's "You're not worthy....". If you're going to insult someone, at least use proper grammar.
