2 ties in a row for the Injuns.
Don't know if that is good or bad.

From what I heard from a guy that was at the game was first 2 periods Rapids was sleeping. In fact before the start of the 3rd. Rapids players weren't coming out until the ref finally went to go get them. Bruce must of chewed them a new one in between periods. Rapids played alot better. Oh yeah he also mentioned there was a penalty shot for Rapids in OT and of course knowing the outcome the player never converted!! Good or bad who knows!

Was a solid finish. GR played poorly for 2 + periods then came on but couldn't net the game winner. In the OT play was tilted a little more in favor of GR and I believe Skrbec would have finished had the Denfeld player not thrown his stick. The penalty shot miss could be attributed to bad ice as the puck was bouncing all the way in from center ice. GR showed heart coming from down 2 twice and with the game seemingly over at the end with GR shorthanded they score the game tying goal with about a minute left. Hopefully they'll learn they have to play a complete game as the new season is about to begin.

I wasn't at the game, but it doesn't surprise me that Denfeld blew YET another game in the third. Which also makes me wonder whether Grand Rapids finally woke up in the third or Denfeld ran out of gas. The Hunters just don't have the depth to win close games. They are undoubtedly one of the worst third period teams in the state of MN, no exaggeration. Anyway, good luck to both teams in the playoffs starting next week.

By the way, Pointstreak says Denfeld's goalie Matt Messina scored a goal in the second period. Is that a misprint or did it really happen?

Misprint. Correct Scoring:

1st Period-
1. DD, Cory Coffman (Judd Peterson, Collin Magnuson) 13:44

2nd Period-
2. DD, Cody Hotchkin (Max Skarman, Josh Wentz) 1:00
3. GR, Zach Dick (John Skrbec, Sam Rendle) (PP) 6:49
4. DD, Kevin Nagan (Jason Johnson, Cody Hotchkin) 7:31

3rd Period-
5. GR, Duston Schulte (Jake Leingang) (PP) 1:25
6. GR, Sam Rendle (Matt How) (SH) 15:43

Your right about the hunters ! They cannot hold a lead ! All season they run out of gas in the third period. They also take too many penaltys. Glad they had some luck and at least came out of rapids with a tie.

Have you looked at GR's roster? Talk about thin!
