Elite I has only had 2 fights where gloves were dropped in 147 games so far. Get your facts straight.

elite 1 team NW has a scoring machine combination in fulton and inderieden. with a combined point total of 59! these breck skater, i believe, are leading all elite 1 teams including the badger state teams. also, interestingly, bariball is trailing an eden praire winger, j. meyers, for the total points lead of their team. if meyers continues at this pace watch out lake conference when the real season begins.

GN Hogger:

You forgot to mention the other player on that line that is also in the top of ALL EL1 statistics. Brett Peterson from Elk River has been a very important piece of that line as he works hard in the corners digging the puck and setting up Fulton and Indo! Furthermore, 2 defensemen by the names of Brandon Graffunder of Totino Grace and Brandon Martell of Elk River are among the leading D in total points. Also, Kent Patterson who has shored up the nets for this team and has the best Save % in the league as a sophomore! KP is the real deal and will be the next D1 goalie prospect in the State.

Regards,
mnhockey39

I think Elite 1 have really proved themselves the past couple of weekend. They didn't start out that great, but are doing pretty good now. They also have some pretty good players on their team.

fighting

i haven't seen enough games to give you enough facts but i am familiar with a Boston College and UMD scout and they provided me with their assessment. In regard to fighting, i can't imagine their have been 2 many glove dropping fights but their were two last weekend with a gold team and Wi and the gold team and either SW or SE.
Instead of fighting like the NHL perhaps a better description would be how many kids are getting kicked out of games each weekend? Competitive or not that is ridiculous. There are plenty of real good players who aren't getting kicked out and taking bad penalties.

I don't think Section 8 for elite 2 is the best team. Their leading scorer has barely made it to half their games. They seem to only win whe nhe was around which is very little.

fighting

I think the previous post regarding fighting is an example of people getting the two leagues confused. The Upper Midwest HS Elite League (often referred to in this forum as Elite I)--which as a previous poster pointed out--has had two fights in four years, is not the league where any goonery is taking place. The completely unrelated Elite II League may or may not be the actual target of this rumor.

Unfortunately there is no mix up. there has been plenty of fighting and goonery in the Elite I this year. Check and see how many kids have been tossed. There were two fights alone last weekend in Eau Claire.

TEAM SOUTHEAST. they won the league and the end of the year tournament. this team was the weakest on print ( roster ) but the best on the ice. then they split the teams up into 2 minnesota teams for the all-star tournament and minnesota did not win it this year. it would of been fun to see what southeast could do with the team champs from team illinois. A minnesota team had won it I think the last 2 or 3 years in a row.

re-kent patterson for real

Post by mrdangles »

red wing completely ripped that kid! he had let in 4 goals just 4 minutes into the 2nd period. he got sivved right of his home ice! i was not impressed with this "d1 prospect" at all, or maybe red wing is just a little too good for these private prep schools?

Calm down Mr. Dangles. Anyone can have an off night. I saw Kent Patterson play a lot this fall, and he is one of the best in the state, and only a sophomore. He can play on my team anytime.
