White Bear has had Mounds View's number for the past decade. Can anyone confirm, has MV beaten WB in the past decade??? Anyways back to the subject. White Bear is rolling right now and in my opinion playing the best hockey of the section. Definatly not a team you would want to play in the quarters. However, WB seems to play down to their opponents in the first round, excusing last year. Mounds View has had so many close games against good teams and hasn't come through with many W's. If they can weather the storm in the first period their odds greatly increase. They will need great goaltending and have to play their best game of the year. I think they have what it takes but it will be very tough.

Interesting match up. Everything points to the Bears as they seem to be playing great while MV has lost 3 in a row. Seen a few links from parents trying to hang each coach don't know if I would want to be the coach on the team that comes out with the L! As for the game I think its going to be a true battle.

Are you all insane!? Did you not see the last game between these two teams? It wasn't even close! Yes, WBL only beat them by a goal earlier on, but WBL is playing much better since then. It's almost night and day. There really is no argument you can make for why Moundsview is going to win this game. Do they have more talent? No. Are they better coached? No. Are they known for pulling off big upsets? No. Does WBL have a tendency to choke in the quarterfinals? No. Am I missing something? I know everyone loves the underdog, but please be logical and not try to overlook this. WBL will win this game, period!

MV needs to play aggressive in this one, don't worry about the past. Their biggest problems is WBL is like a bunch of sharks they smell the blood in the water and it just gets them rolling. WBL took care of the lesser teams in the conference all season. So MV needs to come out and play tough physically, which suits there style better then run and gun with the Bears.

Yeah, you know the bears cannot play in big games like at the X last christmas when they beat Cenntenial 6-5, the first team to beat Centennial this year. Oh and then that one when they went into a shootout with AHA, yeah they lost but they still brought it to a shootout, yeah that one wasn't big. They only other game that you could include to be that big for this team was the HM game in the beginning of the season, but look who did most of the scoring for HM, then look who isnt on the team anymore.BodyShots wrote:Can you explain to me what senior leadership is? And for senior leadership, most of the team looks up to the two Senior Captains, so i dont know what your trying to say there.
Are you kidding me? Captain Sam Swanson and Captain Zach Hoffman lead this team, every player looks up to them, they are the heart of the teamkomada77 wrote:Bears can't play in big games - no senior leadership on this team. I'll go with the upset.

The 7 by the Bears included two shorties on the same penalty -- not something you see too often.got some wrote:Bears ; 4-1
Lets just hope it's more like their second match-up [WB 7-0] in the regular season as opposed to their first [WB 2-1]. Even though White Bear pulled off the W both games, their first meeting was nerve-racking.
Another game at Aldrich, the home of the Bears (which they graciously share with some green team). It could get ugly. Bears in a cakewalk.

Yes the people of W.B. are trying to oust the coach. He has no respect from his players, past and present. As for Senior leadership, Sam Swanson is it-but when Sam asks the coach for harder practices and gets totally shot down by the coach it's hard to have team continuity. If the Bears win it will by their own desire, and will not have anything to do with coaching. I heard they are for the most part ignoring what the coaches tell them to do anyway. That's when they win. I think this could be a very close game.
