Warrior Hockey The Rangers had a serious shield in the net tonight. The Warriors out shot them 30 –13, yet the final score was 3—2 Forest Lake. The warriors Wichello did a great job in net. The defense over all was great, however they let up on 3 occasions and that is when the puck fell for the Rangers. The Warriors just seemed to have no luck getting the puck to fall. We had a couple of breakaways and several quality opportunities but it would not happen tonight for Brainerd. The two goals we did score were by Ollie Lahdesmaki and Morgan Impola. It is early in the season though and overall Brainerd played a great game. We worked hard and left it all on the ice. WE played 3 solid periods of hockey. We had great effort by all of the team once again. Forest Lake was tough and they showed there abilities. They certainly came to play hockey tonight and they were rewarded with the win for their effort. Next game is in Sauk Rapids on Tuesday the 6th of December, hope to see you all there. That's an ouch for Brainerd. I bet it was a fun game though. Interesting how some of the 7AA games are turning out early on.

Da Storm rolled into Da Barnyard last night and gave Da Worriers quite a scare. If it weren't for Ole Himahaki's (the Flyin' Finn) 6 points (3 goals & 3 assists) Da Worriers would be 1 & 2. Better double check that foreign exchange paperwork to make sure all the t's are crossed and i's dotted. This game (Brd 7, SR 6) makes Ohfor32 look pretty prophetic (shotgun offense and lack of defensive play). Unless the D tightens up, GR19 will be serving up huge portions of Crow next week at Da Elbow Club. At least me, Blow zer0, Video Gout, Boozy, Stitchy and the Beer Man (aka Ohfor32) can put away the Old Crow bottle for now!

Warriors dominated the game.Sauk scored 6 goals on 17 shots. They caught Snyder leaning at least 3 or 4 times and put the puck just inside the pipe. I think the netminders need to tighten up a little.Ollie looked real good. I thinked he's relaxed and is playing his game. Sauk have a couple guys that can play. We have some work to do before the Rapids game but I think old crow will be served ala mode to GR19.

GR 5 FL 2 FL 3 BR 2 Not much else to say. Brainerd could win if Rapids takes dumb penalties all night like they did against Virginia.

Brainerd will never make it out of their section. ha ha. Also the Swoboda kid isn't as good as he thinks even if he did come back to LF he would maybe make 3rd line. The Iceman

I wouldn't call loses to Virginia and Apple Valley choking. Either of those teams would beat Brainerd by 4-6 goals. You have a group of teams like CEC, Grand Rapids, Duluth East, Apple Valley, Virginia, etc., that will play each other close all year. I just haven't seen anything in the scores from Brainerd to show they belong in that group yet. 6-5 over Sauk Rapids is unimpressive. And that score just looks similar to Brainerd teams from the last 3-4 years. Ohfor32 agrees with me on this. I already went in depth on it.
