HA depth
I don't think Holy Angels has the depth to play with Edina. If Edina plays penalty free. They should win. HA has a very good PP. If Edina takes a lot of penalites, it will keep AH's in the game. This will be close.Walter Sojack wrote:Not overrated, but without Haeg, they will be shorthanded and overmatched. Edina 5-2.Roseauverrated wrote:Holy Angels is overrated, Edina 4-1.

Re: HA depth
Edina hasn't got a ton of depth. They pretty much ride their great first line. The scoring drop off between lines 1 and 2 is astounding. Until AHA lost Haeg, an argument could be made that AHA was deeper. With Ryan Reilly likely moving up to center the Mattson line it probably makes it more of push in terms of depth.Lakeviewing wrote:

I break the advantages like this....
Forwards-- Edina-- If AHA had Haeg I'd say it was a push.
Defensemen-Edina--Clear andvantage.
Goaltending--AHA
Coaching --AHA-- Please try to make the argument Giles is better than Trebil based on results. It can't be done.
Intangibles--AHA-- They owe Edina for the Schwanns cup final and last season sections.

This could be the stupidest statement made this year. Curt Giles cant lose. I love it when students make statments. This is going to be a great game and I feel the Stars will step up and play a great game and have a chance to pull it out in the end. Treb's has a game plan and we will see it soon.
Edina get ready to hear from The Donald. YOUR FIRED!

Re: HA depth
I agree but I like Holy Angels goaltending much better than Edina's. However, without Haeg, even if Burke brings his A game, Edina still wins by 2.Lakeviewing wrote:I don't think Holy Angels has the depth to play with Edina. If Edina plays penalty free. Too bad you are wrong on Mattson. By far the best stick-handler in the state.
Now on the game, it was a great game. Both teams back and forth in the first, although it seemed like Edina was sizing up AHA. AHA played great in the first period and had many chances. Both goalies came up big throughout the game. Nice win for Edina. I do not see them losing in the final with Jefferson, but it will be a tough one.
