District 8 website has the wrong score posted for Woodbury/L'ville South game. Woodbury won 4-3 in OT and plays L'ville South for third place today.

I think what you wanted to say was District 8 website had the score of the WoodburyLakeville North game wrong and Woodbury plays Lakeville South at 3pm for third place

Woodbury controlled this game from the first minute. L'ville South didn't come to play at this tournament and it showed. The socre was 4-1 until the last :22 seconds. HUGE upset.... Congratulations to Woodbury. They're playing the best hockey of the seaon at the right time.

Woodbury deserved the win today no doubt, but to say south didn't show up to play the whole weekend is just not true. Taking eagan to ot in their own building aint exactly laying down, truth is they were a pipe in ot from being in and it just didn't happen. Woodbury clearly wanted this one more, my hats off to them, except the riduculously annoying woodbury dad who did a fine job of annoying everyone at the rink. Its to bad when the rest of the fans act classy and one idiot casts a bad light on the rest.

That's an interesting perspective. What I recall is the group of South parents standing behind some Woodbury parents the entire game making comments such as "C'mon "Jimmy", they've got nothing" or "Who are the parents of that Woodbury player and how much did they pay the refs to call a penalty every time he's touched" or the group of parents who were calling for penalties every time one particular Woodbury player was on the ice. South is a good team, no doubt, but, in my opionion, they and their parents came in with a big case of overconfidence and the results reflected it.

I was at this game. Second time I've seen Rochester Red this year - they are one of the best teams I've seen. Probably as good as Wayzata and DE.

Their goalie is also the best I've seen all year!

WOW.

Keepyourheadup.... Being a Woodbury parent (with a son on the team) quite a few of us agree with the lack of class with a certain individual.
Even though I was not in the stands, but rather on the glass. I know the parent in which you are referring to. Every team has a "Village Idiot" and he is ours. It is funny... You would think the individual would get a clue when we wait for him to sit in the stands first so we can then strategically sit elsewhere. He is one reason why I watch the game from the glass. But that is why they are deemed the "Village Idiot"

I agree RR is an excellent team and their Goalie is very good. Just what is needed at this time of year.

slaptsk you're right, its the difference in these perspectives that create these discussions, as for overconfidence , give your team some credit, we all knew it wouldn't be easy and on this day the better team won. Your team did a wonderful job of staying out of the box and controlling souths top players. My post actually comended the whole woodbury group minus the one goof ball. Thanks for the explanation crashdanet and good luck at regions.

I give these kids a ton of credit. They have played the best games of the season in this tournament when they were really given no credence in rankings or by other teams. These kids were really hungry for this win and gave 150% effort. My perspective comment directs to your view of one individual and how others may have viewed something quite different. We all bring something different to every game and see the game as we like.

seems I'm not the only one with that perspective. Again good luck in regions.

It was a fantastic game. Grand Rapids really took it to the Hounds on that little rink in Chisolm. I was very impressed by the game Rapids played. East scored in the final moments of the game, a game in which they never lead until after the OT. These two teams really have battled all year, only one game got out of hand, the rest have all been pretty close. Should be a great game saturday in Crookston.

Eagans offense was very good and at times really worked av their zone. Valleys goalie played outstanding and Valley capitalized on Eagans mistakes.
