Re: 7aa
If I had to rank em,(changed after ER 4-3/OT win over Blaine). This shows CEC and Elk River are very even. Both won by 1 goal over Blaine. Grand Rapids beat CEC (barely) so from a ranking standpoint I'd give GR the nod over CEC and ER. However this is not to be taken as any of these teams being better. They are all pretty equal in talent it seems.

1. Duluth East (defending champs)
2. Grand Rapids (2-0 vs. 7AA)
3. Elk River (I'll be surprised if the don't end up #1 seed)
4. Cloquet with the badly needed help of Esko and Carlton.
5. Forest Lake (beat Brainerd)
6. Brainerd
7. CI
8. St. F.
9. Andover

If Rapids beats Brainerd everything is in order so far. If Brainerd wins it throws a major wrench into things. The reason would be how would you rank Brainerd, GR, and FL if that happened because they would all be 1-1 against each other.

Edited by: <A HREF=http://p100.ezboard.com/bmnhs.showUserP ... hs>GR19 at: 12/8/05 10:31 pm

i think a team that has either black or purple as a color on their jersey is going to win the section.... just a shot in the dark.. but who knows what can happen come end of February

Re: GR Flake Brainerd
If Brainerd does beat GR then you would have to take into consideration how the games go as far as which team is controlling the game. I think if Brainerd wins and completely outplays GR then you could put the above both teams for now. But if Brainerd would win by just squeaking through with some lucky breaks and good goaltending then I think you would still have a big mess.

What were the shots in the Flake and GR game?
Who dominated the play?

Re: GR Flake Brainerd
Its way too early to call this one... Too many even games and not enough head to head play yet. A couple teams are going to have tough first round games in the playoffs, no matter what happens from here on out.

For mnhshockey89, the shots in the FL-GR game were 37-29 in favor of FL.

Re: ???
Couple of big games coming up...Grand Rapids @ Brainerd and Cloquet vs. East....IF GR and CEC win--i say GR, CEC, ER are top 3...if EAST and Brainerd win I say its a 5 team race, maybe 6...

_________________

BOB
