Aaron Ness has had a very solid year considering that he graduated from HS a year early to join the Gophs.

From the obvious name department... Jordan Shroeder. The kid is the real deal. He obviously has the scoring touch and speed, but to go along with it he has incredible vision. I look forward to seeing him in the NHL.

Eidsness also has impressed me in net for the sioux.

The whole team's been struggling.

You can tell he has the skills and abilities, he just needs the size. That will come in the next couple years and he will be a top defenseman in the WCHA as long as he sticks around.

Schroeder is second in the WCHA with 33 points on 11 goals and 22 assists as a freshman... thats really impressive. i was a big fan of ness in high school (along with everyone else in the world) but i guess i havent really noticed him a whole lot this year. how long do u think schroder will stay considering the possibility that Lucia could be out soon

In the Tribune a few weeks ago Shroeder said he wants to be know as one of the best Gophers ever. This is not by any means a gaurantee but i'll take it as a sign of hope.

He may say that now, but I predict one more year...tops.

Louwerse is a Sophomore.
Either Schroeder or Eidsness will win Freshman of the year. I think Eidsness' league record will earn him the award.

Schroeder - 11 G (t8th), 22 A (t1st): 33pts (t1st)- 26 games
Eidsness - 16-4-4, .750 Win% (1st), 2.38 GAA (2nd), .909 SV% (5th)

You're right. USCHO.com has him listed as a Sophomore, got me confused.

This is all about mom and dad pushing

Post by Lakeviewing »

just let the kids mature and play for their high school team. What is the push here? The system will find these kids, but its mom and dad that think removing their kid from the high school experiance to a higher level is just wrong.

Stepan and Gardiner are both sophmores. Craig Smith (20 pts) is a freshman forward for Wisconsin that deserves to be looked at as a top young talent in the WCHA though (assuming we are talking about jsut freshman here)
