WCHA finish.

WCHA finish.
Whenever a team can fall from 3rd to 7th when they only have one game to play you know it is going to be a good finish in the WCHA.
The sioux have all but clinched, Denver will likely finish second, but from there on down it is a cluster. CC has 30 points but if they lose their last game to Denver they could be passed by up to four teams.
What do you guys think will happen?
I predict the final standing will be...
UND
DU
UMD
UM
CC
UW
SCSU
MSU
UAA
MTU

Here is how I think it will play out this weekend:
North Dakota @ Wisconsin - Split
Minnesota @ Michigan Tech - Gopher sweep
Minnesota State vs St. Cloud State (Home and home) - Split
Alaska Anchorage @ Minnesota Duluth - UMD sweep
Colorado College @ Denver (1 game) - DU wins
That would make the final standings look like this:
1- North Dakota 38 points
2- Denver 37 points
3- Wisconsin 31 points
4- Minnesota 31 points
5- Minnesota Duluth 31 points
6- Colorado College 30 points
7- St. Cloud State 29 points
8- Minnesota State 25 points
9- Alaska Anchorage 19 points
10- Michigan Tech 9 points
Wisconsin holds the tiebreaker over both Minnesota and UMD, so they would be 3rd. Minnesota holds the tiebreaker over UMD, so they are 4th. UMD is 5th.
And first round match-ups would be:
(10) Michigan Tech at (1) North Dakota
(9) Alaska Anchorage at (2) Denver
(8 ) Minnesota State at (3) Wisconsin
(7) St. Cloud State at (4) Minnesota
(6) Colorado College at (5) Minnesota Duluth

The only way the Huskies are going to the X is to watch the final five as spectators.teko11 wrote:It's hard to beat a team 6 times in a year.
