What do you think the chances are for Century to make it to state and place in the top 3?

two years ago Century was very good. This year they are average for the Big 9 therefore very below average for the state. I'm not saying it couldnt happen but it would be a HUGE upset for either LN or Century to win a game.

is this serious, their is no way Century will get a top 4 seed let alone a top 3 seed!!! Their are way to many cities teams that have better records and they would never seed a team from Rochester, even if they had a good record, over a cities team!

Hey Cotton McNight, It sounds like your Century team has already made plans for St. Paul. Don't forget that you have to win the game first. Old saying "Don't count your chicken's before their hatched" It fun watching all the Century people talking about going to the Excel without winning the game first.

I think Cotton was asking about a top 3 finish and not a top 3 seed.

First of all your team has to win the section game on friday, and as for being in the top 3, no chance. Maybe in the bottom 3, way to many good teams in front of your team.

As usual the Metro commentator has no idea what assets the century panthers have. If they put it together they could win it all.

Big kids that can skate speed and smart defense and the young goaltender gets better and better every time I watch them.

They have beaten Tartan, Duluth East and they physically dominated Fargo South in the Holiday Tourney. They also dominated Mayo who had beaten them 3 times previously with many Century guys out of the lineup.

I think Century is really feeling it and may just do something special if they can get by Matt and Nate Arentz and Ryan Skeens and company.

Good Luck to all the boys should be a great game.

I really like all the lines at Century and the energy they can bring when they are getting after it.

Knoepke and other Dmen keep getting better game after game.

It will depend on who they draw after the top 4 are seeded and how they match up with that team. I don't see them finishing top 3 though because if they get a first round favorable match-up I don't think they win the semi or 3rd place game still. Don't over look Lakeville North though, must beat them first.

i doubt century will win a game if they get to the tourney however they can give some teams fits and run three lines deep(each scored vs mayo) it will come down to how sellnow plays under pressure but i think they could beat LN however if the game goes into overtime i would give it to LN, but it is basically a home game for century and from what iv heard/seen their student section is pretty BA and they do some pretty funny things to get into the other teams head- probably the best fans in the state

geno---NOT EVEN CLOSE! Maybe the best in Rochester, MAYBE?? But not even close to the best fans in the state! Get out of Rochester once in awhile before making a silly comment like that.

Why are we even talking about a top 3 finish in state? Century really hasn't won anything yet. Obviously everybody is aware of the Section Championship game that is yet to be played. I am excited to hear how the game goes Friday night. Hopefully the fan section is a little more lively for the game. When I was at the holiday tournament there were more alumni there then there were high school fans. Hats off to Century for making it this far and I hope for the best Friday night.

I agree with...The most obnoxious fan they have is a parent that walks around with a camera the whole time and whistle so loud that she could break an eardrum if you are standing in front of her! Or even near her for that matter...I won't even go into the comments that come out of her mouth....really a classless parent.

Don't know who this is but take heart...it will be too crowded to walk around so just don't sit in front of her.

Playing the Section 1AA winner is like having a bye in the first round of the state tournament.

Maybe we could swap Section 1AA with Section 4A or Warroad every year. It would at least be a more competitive matchup.

I think Century has a good chance to make some noise at state. However they have to get by on friday to a team that has always given the Panthers fits. I believe that Century will go as far as Sellnow takes them. They have some talented forwards and Frutiger likes to roll his lines. He does have a lot of balance which will help as well. Good luck to them on friday and hopefully ill be seeing them at the X next week.
