they will have a shot? lourdes beat red wing earlier in the season! they have way more than just a shot at winning!
The thing you are missing from Goldy's post is that Lourdes started off the season hot, a lot of their players played together all off-season came out of the gate fast. They will not be facing the same Red Wing team that they saw in the first few weeks of the season. Red Wing started off slow and has came on hot since the mid piont, Lourdes started off hot and has tailed off a bit later in the season. Both teams are very good, it's hard to make implications either way other than it will be a great game.

another thing i want to mention about goldys post is that he says if lourdes can put a body on red wings top guys. i would take lourdes' top players any day! Voigt, Funk, Peterson, and Spratte. i take everyone of them over Shammal or either of the Noesens no questions asked!

Well have you seen schammel* play... you must not have by making that statement, or you are from there and are being biased. Blake is arguably the best player in section 1 along with Lapic, Adams, and Voigt. I'm sure the reason that you would take them over him is because you're a lourdes fan though... typical

I'm actually not from lourdes but i have played with most of them. and lapic and adams werent able to generate any offense against lourdes so how is just shammel?

Its not all about Schammel. New Pragues depth issues killed them against Lourdes. Red Wing has 3 solid lines that they can throw on the ice at any moment. Roschen is also back. Idk how you can say that they wont generate any offense either.... remember who has last change in this game. Against Albert Lea the Wingers snuck out there first line a couple of times a capitalized on those opportunities. Maybe you should look into something a little bit or think about what u r saying before you say. Maybe next time though

Nearly a mirror image of last years Lourdes/West game. Tons of talent but once a team gets a lead it's almost over. Lourdes got up 2-1 and basically kept 4 guys back the second and third period, exactly what Essay and West did last year. Teams that can't or won't play dump and chase have trouble when behind and the team that's ahead just sits back. Red Wing just couldn't penetrate the blue line with the puck and couldn't win the battles in the corners.

Early on Red Wing looked like the better team but give Gill credit, he learned and improved as a coach and his Eagles won it.

Amazing game, 30 stood on his head, along with 5 making that swipe to save a goal, LHS should make it past the first round if they played like they did tonight

As much as I hate privates, Lourdes advances and it is well deserved. Now please go get a win or two up there. Make this section proud!

Yeah it was a great game; Red Wing scored first but Lourdes bounced right back with a couple quick goals, the second period was pretty much a draw, the third period (in my opinion) Red Wing controlled play but the Lourdes goalie played awesome, he was just in the right place everytime, my hat goes off to Lourdes, they got outshot by around 10 and still found a way to win, and usually they don't get outshot.

Good luck to them in State.

happy to see the team i picked to win the section won. had my doubts because of the january slump but they came out winners in the end. they'll greatly represent section 1A.

guess they learned from last year then

maybe i should look into something a little bot or think about what im saying be fore i say it? i know its not all about schammel. in earlier posts i talked about the noesens aswell. but as i predicted, they were not able to generate enough offense to win. so maybe i do know what im talking about and, like i said before, lourdes had way more than just a shot at winning that game!

Hats off to the Eagles... Sounds like they put together a great game. Goal tending sounded like it was phenomenal as well. Especially in the third period, it sounded like the Wingers were peppering him. Good Luck @ the X Eagles. Represent Section 1A well...

Great season to the Wingers as well. I know they played there hearts out last night and came up just short. They have no reason to hang there heads. The team they were beat by has a ton of firepower and has the potential to do some serious damage at state.
