they are a student section they had fun. Taunting the goalie and newspapers are part of hockey go to any game and you hear the sive chant. There was only one person they yelled at during the medal ceremony and it was a kid that transfered from Moorhead to Roseau. As far as Roseau having more class? They were gone by the 1:00 mark so i guess they didnt have the class to give there team one last applause during the ceremony.

I believe the chant was... Was it worth it.... Was it worth it... To the kid who went to Roseau thinking he had the title in his hands from day 1. Spuds played an amazing game. The student section was louder than ever! Lot of good chants too. Some bad but funny ill give them that. The best one was probably them yelling their goalies name many times. I think he was a little rattled after that one. All in all spuds out played the Rams from the get go. We will see you at the X boys Lets hope that same student section will stick with them all through the tournament. It helps when the fans are cheering you on

Good luck to the Spuds at state. You gotta root for whichever 8AA team gets down there.

On another note, being a Roseau fan, I was very pleased to see how the team reacted at the medal ceremony - not throwing medals against the boards and the coaches stuck around til it was done. Little more class than someone showed a couple years ago.

Yeah! All kinds of class. Do you mean like that SENIOR defense man #22 throwing a cheap absolutely intentional head shot elbow on a spud in front of the spud bench with 0:08 remaining in the 3rd down 3 goals? That kind of class?

The better team won thats all there is to it. The student was a student section and you have to expect that, they where good and got the team fired up and was a fun enviornment. Everytime a Roseau team loses they bring up class or something like that, they just cant lose and shut up.

Attention Moorhead Fans: Roseau is not only Gods gift to hockey but they are also Gods gift to the world. Do not try to one up them with your team because they will one up you with there class. Their team and fans do nothing wrong. They are the classiest city in the world. They also don't hold any grudges...can't forget that one.

You know what spud fans The spuds beat the
Rams it was a great game for both teams. But there is some things I would like to say. Your student section is so rude during the awards ceremony..The kid that transferred to Roseau is a great kid his parents are very nice people. in talking with this kid I don't believe he moved to Roseau to be with a winning team he plays hockey and has made great freinds in roseau. the way it looks to me is you people are jealous cause he plays for a team with alot of class. Second thing the mishap at the end of the game were our defenseman took a couple of swings at your players what I saw was that your players had the door open for a line change and he got checked into the box and some more Spud players started pushing him i'm sorry but any kid in that situation would come out swinging so get over it. Third thing the last two years Roseau beat the spuds in the section final both years I saw Spud players take there second place metals and throw them on the ice and the spud coach stand there and watch this along with the Moorehead AD. Now do you want to talk about class and sportsmanship give me a break you people don't have a clue.

Now with that said in Roseau if a player threw his second place metal on the ice I don't think I would want to be that kid because the coaches and our AD would kick his ###....He might even get some kind of suspension for that kind of act. Also if our student section acted like the Spuds does at a game I guarantee you our AD would be escorting kids out of the game. I'm not saying kids in roseau are perfect but I guarantee you that there would be punishment for that kind of behavior. I wish I could say good luck Rams but I can't so as much as I hate city teams I hope the Spuds bring the trophy up North.

MYHOCKEY all your doing is whining!!! no class ah i hate the spuds, wa wa wa the student section acted like a student section young and dumb this must be a mother posting on how everything we said was bad!! How Roseau has more class sorry Roseau cant have a student section cause they have there kids on the ice or the band!! So dont start on the students they did there part, jacked up and wanted it as bad as the players on the ice did!! and Brookes Lommen use to play for Moorhead he had it coming no doubt he was a great kid and liked by many people in Moorhead but you have to understand he had that coming!! Also another thing you Roseau people must live in the past all you do is complain about that past!! You dont win lets complain!! Awh man Moorhead bad sportsmanship!! Ever been to the cities? There students section spits on players, chant swear words at players, grab there sticks i could go on and on all day!! Give it up Roseau fans you lost MOORHEAD was better this year, and you were better last year!! Your just dwelling on the fact Moorhead won its hockey, ever remember when you were a kid? You know what is so funny when reading this?? Roseau people have hardly said ANYTHING and the Moorhead people go ON and ON and ON about the Roseau people. I hate Moorhead, I would rather swallow my own vomit than cheer for them. SERIOUSLY JEALOUS ANYONE???? When you win a State Championship you can talk, but for now just sit down. So you make it to the X.......do something when you're there. I don't even think it is the fact that Roseau is an enemy, I think it is pure jealousy that Roseau does something when they get there. Maybe not every year but there are 7 banners in their arena. 2 since they have been AA, how many does Moorhead have??

As far as what I saw and I was at the game....... The better team one, yes this is true, i HONESTLY didn't see anything that was low class from either team. I think the Moorhead student section has always been rude, was rude that night, and will always be rude. It will never change. I don't know where this comes from??? Cheer for your team, what ever happened to that??

ANYWAYS, Congrats Moorhead on the win and on possibly becoming the next runner-up!

Roseau get over it. Moorhead was a better team, the student section was great, it was not that bad. All Roseau does is complain when they lose, when for the past five years Moorhead fans have gone down to state to cheer for Roseau. Roseau fans just shut it! Student sections are kids having fun and they have every right to! Not my fault the Roseau athletic director doesnt let his kids have fun....And the Roseau student section?? 3 rows of kids?? Sure does show the team support. All that matters is that Moorhead beat Roseau 3 times this year...so get the snowmobile warmed up and go cry about it.
